Riders led 26-22 at half.....but trailed 38-28 after the 3rd.
Outscored 33-9 in the 2nd half.
No Wasson made it a real tough task. Having Wasson would have still been tough.
Next Friday and Saturday's games are "need to win" games.

Both the jv's and varsity only managed 2 pts. in the 3rd quarters in close games and that pretty well dug them to deep holes to get back into the games. Senior coach said their slow start in the first half was because their game plan was to shut down Wasson and when he didn't play the players were confused, but got it together in the second half playing D and crashing the boards. Brenner the top scorer with 10, all in the 1st half, Winters only had 2. It also seemed like all the lights weren't working above the basket on the Orrville bench end of the floor, that might of had an effect on the shooting on that end.

Red Riders with 26 turnovers is not a good thing. Won't win many games with that stat.

Got West Holmes Friday....they've already beat Triway and Wooster.
Then Hillsdale in the Smitty Saturday night.
Would like to see us come out of the weekend with a 2-2 record and build some momentum.
Team is nowhere close to playing their best ball, but the lack of an outside game, and the lack of anything close to a 2nd scoring threat (Brenner is about it right now) is troublesome.

Don't know if anybody knows this but the late announced JV game vs. Dover was cancelled for tonight. It sure is nasty out there.....almost as nasty as the Orrville Football 2011 thread!

Nope, I don't know the alltime series record, just the last 6 years are easy to dig up, so I know we have 2 wins in the last 13 games. I was hoping RR1 had already done that for us
The last win was in 08-09 when we won 77-75 in OT at Senior.

Winters will be a 2nd scoring threat when Wasson and Pirman come back. Both know how to pass to a big guy (guards please don,t pass to knees) and Wasson will draw the double leaving Winters with just one defender. There shouldnt be anyone in the league that can stop Devon around the basket.
