I am not making excuses for anyone, but it is so easy for a fan watching the game in real time to lay blame wherever they want....myself included. When you have the ability to watch a game film you learn much much more. As for the CF game. 1) they do what they do very very well....where did they have success? running to our strong side? cutting back? do you know those answers? I assume no. When they gashed us in the middle were we blitzing our strong side backer? You don't know that answer either. You and others just figure a kid should dominate the entire field and the other team because he is a Big Ten commit. It is frustration on our fan's side but just plain ignorant for you to try to assess his play. I will re-iterate what I said before...just treat him like any other High School DE and see how QB 1 likes it.
A-I'm not blaming him for the loss to Clear Fork
B-Yes Clear Fork runs the ball very well, yet, I didn't see at any time #88, "playing with a vengeance"
C-I don't figure he should or could "dominate the entire field because he is a Big Ten commit", I believe that his presence/skills should have an impact at some point
D-Because I didn't get to watch game film does not mean I didn't "see" the game...I made my assessment by what I saw him do, he was not doubled, so he did not free up any co-defensive players to pressure the QB/RB and his presence in the backfield was for the most part after the ball was gone via pass/run.
E-So you saw the game film, how great was his play, (as a Big Ten commit)
