O-villeQB: I will say with about 3000 tickets sold as of now, a total attendance of about 4000 or so. I will go with 4500.

Gotta get someone stirred up, I try over here and all I get is Huh Wooster has a football team.........

BTW, I do try to do a GOOD JOB at also saying what I HEAR and what is FACT....

BAM! You've got it!

Speaking of the DR, how about that big pic today of the Wooster QB showing off his "guns"? I think I will go eat some peanut brittle.

Actually this year (for a change) a torn up, rutted, pitted, wet field might be an advantage to Orrville given Wooster's speed. The General's are scary fast.

I think attendace will be determined on how many outsiders come depending on weather. 5000 at most.

Regardless....how many former Red Riders here on the chatter will be walking in the parade of players?

It is good. I might as well spill the beans to say that I am in charge of the Pep Assembly and am on pins and needles! We have a great show coming up and you all might want to get a DVD copy of it. Warning: Wooster fans will not like it. :-)

I'll be there along with Werden (Squirrel) Miller. Squirrel graduated in 1935 and played vs Woo in '32, '33, '34. He's 95. Awesome. He is still upset that they lost 13-8 his senior year.

Squirrel! He "da man"! I knew we had somebody older than Tony, but just couldn't put my finger on it. Sweet!

Yep. Got Tony beat by 5-6 years. He is thrilled to be taking part in the coin toss. He was planning on listening to it on the radio in the garage! haha. He and his wife still live in their home.

The Riders team of '35 were a bunch of punks and I will tell squirrel that right to his face.

Had a picture sent to me today of the 1939 Rider team....Lowell Bradford was the left tackle. Was as big as a house. Notes on the picture said he was all-ohio that year. I'll get the pics posted at the blog and link them here.

Awesome about Mr. Miller taking part in the festivities.

Weather looks promising for Sat. night.

As a (and not "an") historian, I am proud to say that Orrville was WAY ahead of the times.

Ringz: thanks for the locker room material on Squirrel!

P.S. - that was mean, even though you don't REALLY mean it, right?

BRF you sure are digging for something to fight about this week. Must be getting nervous

You know me well enough on here to know I usually just "stir the pot" and am rarely serious. That would be the case here too.

I like a fight and yeah yeah on your excuse. That was mean so pick another one, like how no one commented on my "peanut brittle" statement! Ha ha ha ha!

BTW, Riders knocked off the Smithies tonight in volleyball!

I am still laughing at the peanut brittle comment.....I also like how Coach K jumped right in the Smithies bracket this year to face 'em early......a little swagger...

^^Wanted to have the least possible "Wooster week" distraction. I'd say she's looking pretty smart tonight.

Oh...and here's that picture. Bradford is 2nd from the right on the o-line.

I love those uniforms!!!

Would have been great for both schools to have planned ahead (of course it would have cost $$$$), but to have "throwback" jerseys made for this game!

I would have put a vote in for replicas of that one...great stuff RR1.

Never thought of it, but throwbacks would be great for this game.
