Its early, but what's your guess on how the season pans out? Who will win the conferences, who will beat who, how many losses to the top 10 teams and to who. At the end of the year, we see who's the closest.

Here's mine
Oregon wins out
Boise and TCU win out
LSU loses to Arkansas but beats Bama
Auburn loses to Bama and LSU
Nebraska wins the Big 12
MSU gets a BCS game
OSU loses to Iowa

Oregon vs. either a one loss B10 team or a one loss SEC team or..... Nebraska as a sleeper
Boise and TCU get ripped off but both make BCS game. Possibly a rematch?

Oregon and Nebraska win out and play in the National Championship

Ohio State loses 1 game, either Iowa or Wisconsin.

With the way the polls are now, it would be really interesting to see what happens if Nebraska and Boise State both win out.

I dont see OSU losing to Wisconsin at all. Im very iffy if OSU would lose to Iowa, but Im just guessing it will happen.

And also, i feel that this will be the first year in awhile that an SEC team doesnt make it to the title game.

If Oregon and Boise win out. They are in. No way, at this point with where teams are ranked, will a one loss BT or SEC team jump those two. They won't even jumpt TCU who would probably end up 3rd. Boise has the easiest path obviously from here on out. I don't see them getting beat. Oregon...they are good, no question. And have already gotten by their toughest oppenent..Stanford. But I could still see them with their usual hiccup. That defense is very shakey and at some point, their offense will have an off game.

OSU is flat out better then anyone on their schedule OSU defense is very good and will keep them in every game. For OSU to lose to either Wisky or Iowa...they will have to beat themselves with turnovers or whatever. Pryor is getting better and better and the special teams have improved. I'll have a better feel after the Wisky game obviously. But right now, I think OSU and Oregon are on course for a rematch of last years Rose in the title game.

100% chance LSU loses to Alabama.

LSU has no quarterback. It's one thing to beat Florida, it's an entirely different thing to beat Alabama this year. The only reason USCe beat 'Bama was QB play, and Garcia is much better than any option at LSU.

And the past 2 years LSU had a QB? As far as I remember LSU took Bama to OT 2 years ago, and they were a bad call away from possibly upsetting them last year. This year, LSU's defense will do the job for them, and they have one of the top backs in the country. Bama is not the team people thought they were, ask Arky and USCe.

Salty about last night?

I think Alabama will lose one more game.

I would normally say OSU will have a slip up game, but i think this years team is different

The game is at LSU. But the ONLY way LSU beats Bama....is if they play as they did last nite. Which I question whether they can. Prior to last nite, they look like dog shit offensively for 5 games. Was last nite just an enigma or did they turn the corner? One game doesn't prove much. Especially against a struggling Fla team. Right now I'd take Bama vs LSU. That could change if I continue to see LSU play offense as they did last nite. But I gotta see it happen more then just one game.
But I do agree..Bama wasn't nearly as good as people thought they were. Ark shoudl have beat them had Mallett not laid an egg. Their defensive youth has been exposed vs good offenses.

cbf......LSU did well offensively last week, even though the score doesnt show it. They had over 400 offense BUT, they had 4 turnovers. LSU needs to continue with last night's offense, because if they play like the first 4 games (no offense), then they will lose 3 conference games.

I have no idea, but want chaos.
Hopefully, OSU, Boise, TCU/Utah, Nebraska, Oregon and Michigan St. all go unbeaten. That would be awesome.

I agree. It might take chaos to convince the college football elite to finally toss in the towel and admit that a playoff system is the only fair way to determine a Division 1-A national champ.

Ha...show the people that make the coin from the current system that they'll make the same coin in a play-off and you might get somewhere...might. Otherwise, they don't give two shits if the entire nation clamors for a play-off, they simply do not care. Chaos is great if as a result things change for the better, I'm not holding my breath.

The Ohio State University, undefeated National Champions against whatever team feels like showing up(hopefully Alabama, because I'd love to get a piece of them).

The best scenario for a playoff system to occur is if Ohio State and Michigan State were the only undefeated teams. Everyone outside of Ohio would go nuts if 2 Big Ten teams met in the BCS Title Game. Even in the State of Michigan. It would take 50 years for U of M to accept the fact that their little brother got to the BCS Title game before they did.

What I would like to see happen is Ohio St, Boise St, Oregon, Nebraska, Utah, and Michigan St all remain undefeated. I am very doubtful of that scenario. More likely that Ohio St, Boise St, Utah and Oregon all run the table. It would make it Ohio St vs Oregon in the NT game. Hopefully Boise St will not have to play Utah and both teams will get chances to knock alleged power teams from the BCS conferences.

If wondering why I put Utah instead of TCU? They play and I think Utah will win the game. Utah might be a top 3 team this year just like when they clobbered Alabama in the 2009 Sugar bowl.

No, it was a ballsy win by LSU.

But I'll make an avatar bet on the 'Bama-LSU game. I just don't think the Tigers can handle Bama's D without efficiency at QB, and it's really hard to be efficient when you have a new QB going in every other series.

I am still unsure about Ohio State. I don't think they have really been tested yet. Miami was obviously exposed as a fraud by OSU and FSU.

Oregon, I feel, will go unbeaten and play for the BCS title game. I'm hoping they face an unbeaten OSU team, but not sure the Bucks will make it through the season unscathed. After Saturday I'll have a better idea on how good the Bucks are.

I think TCU loses one game, Boise St. goes unbeaten, but gets shutout of the BCS title game again.

Rightfully so. #21 Nevada is their only challenge for the balance of the season. I'm convinced that if Boise played a Big 10, Pac 10 or Big 12 schedule they would not go unbeaten....definitely not if they played in the speedy and far superior SEC. ;)

Oregon will stumble somewhere (they always do)
Nebraska loses 1
TCU & Boise coast in undefeated but don't get into NC game
LSU beats AL
UT reamains unbeaten but everyone just shrugs and says "so what?...no BCS for you!"
OSU & MSU play for the NC and all is right with the world

oh yeah...scUM goes 6 - 7 after losing Poulan Weedeater Bowl and ND stays home as usual.

I can easily see Nebraska being unbeaten this year.

I'm not so sure an unbeaten MSU will jump an unbeaten TCU or Boise. Their non conference schedule wasn't great (depending on how ND finishes up the year) but I would be dissapointed if they won out and couldn't play for the title. From what I've seen of them this year they look pretty good.

I'm wondering if a 1 loss SEC team can get in over an undefeated Boise State or TCU, assuming there's only one major conference champ left undefeated. I think it two teams from the big 10, pac 10 or Big 12 are undefeated they are a lock to make the title game, but there are chances for all of the unbeatens to slip up.

I think NEB goes down this week vs Texas. Texas still has a pretty good defense. I think they will force Martinez to throw the ball, contain/shut him down and it will be the downfall for the NEB offense.
BUT, if they get by Texas.....the rest of the Neb schedule isn't that good. Okie St and Texas A&M are all thats left on regular season. Then probably OKL in Big12 title game. So IF Neb can get by Texas this week...they could go undefeated heading into the conf. championship.
But I am going with Texas this week in upset.
