I have to think, after watching that game in the freezing cold, Toledo would win that game seven times out of ten. That first quarter was some of the worst football I've ever seen. I coach football, so I know the players make mistakes, not coaches

TWO BLOCKED PUNTS?! That Special Teams Coordinator needed a kick to the shin, he handed Bowling Green the game today. It's a shame Toledo, arguably the most talented offensive group in the conference, ended the season at a mere 5-7.
Tim Beckman will have this Toledo program going in the direction it should be:
If Toledo truly is "arguably the most talented offensive group in the conference" then you have to wonder if the coaching you are praising isn't the reason they don't have a better record.
Yes, I realize special teams errors and defense played heavily into this game, but if you are all that talent, you shouldn't have a losing record as a coach.
It's one of the main reasons Clawson is the coach at Bowling Green now and not Brandon. He had loads of talent while he was there, but struggled to win when he should have.
In any case, I'm very happy to end the season like this and if BG happens to get a bowl game, all the better. In the meantime, I wish UT only the worst for the future.
