Not gettin' no hit tonight!! lol

If we get a 3-4 runs in the first 2 innings, I will be very confident the Reds' chances tonight.

Well there's one missed ball/strike call.

And another.

Haha that 3rd ball on Votto was right down the middle.

I think TBS's ball tracker sucks.

Thought that too. Either TBS pitch tracker is WAY off or it really was a TAD low.

Reds must add on, add on, add on! Yes the ump missed at least 3 ball-strike calls to Votto. Two in favor of the Reds and one in favor of the Phils. In the end it didn't matter as Votto couldn't catch up to the Oswalt fastball right down the middle. Ripkin didn't say why he wasn't in favor of electronic balls and strikes - I wonder what his reason is. It would give the home plate umpire more opportunity to watch the bat for check swings, foul tips, and HBPs.

Will Bronson be back next year? I didn't realize this was his last year under contract.

Nice 1-2-3 for Bronson

9 Pitch 1st Inning a lot better than Volquez having almost 60 through his 1 1/3

Did you happen to catch the debate on Around the Horn today about instant replay in baseball?

No, what was the gist of it regarding balls and strikes?

I think the Reds hold options on both Harang and Arroyo, both something on the order of 2 or 12 million.

I was making dinner so I didn't really get into the dialogue, but it was getting pretty heated you could tell. I believe it was Bill Plaschke whom was going against the other 3. It looked like a pretty good debate, I thought you'd like it if you were watching.

It seems as though the Reds' hitters are seeing these pitches pretty well off Oswalt. Definitely a good sign. Just gotta hope Bronson pitches well. I feel good about this.

Nice AB from Stubbs. Really need some production from Hanigan here.

This game is looking promising. Oswalt doesn't appear to be on top of his game today.

Good AB by Stubbs for the BB. It would have been great if he jacked the last change-up in the middle of the plate.
