I'm still stuck on the fact that you had to mention he was "white". What difference did his color make?

But in any event, under the circumstances you laid out, yes, he was wrong for making a snippy comment, but you were also wrong for flaring back immediatley like you did. You dould have tempered the whole situation easily without igniting the fire.

I agree. BR probably doesn't need felony assault charges in his life.


From everything I read concerning the description of the other dude, I'd guess he was probably lying about having a job...unless he considers slinging Oxy a job, which hilljacks probably do, come to think of it.

I thought "white trash" was a phrase and don't hear just "trash" used to identify a particular demographic of people.

I'm an asshole by nature (just ask my girlfriend) but I don't go out of my way to be an asshole. It's usually something directed toward me that brings out the jerk in me. For the most part, I'm pretty good natured and am not looking for trouble/confrontation. I was in a good mood this morning but it was just the way this dude came at me verbally...his tone.

I do not think it does, I think "white trash" is a valid description of a person and do not think it reflects racism, it reflects more socioeconomic or habitual status, but I could be wrong.

That was the intent. Nothing to do with race.

He kinda looked like this except older and more haggard...and no, I didn't get into a verbal altercation with Santa Claus.

The strange part is that I got a glimpse of the guys drivers license and all I could make out was part of the last name..."Mantoot". I think there was one more letter at the end but I coudn't make it out. ;)

I think you got lucky. you didnt know he was going to take forever inside the store. plus, if you move your car before you go in, maybe someone else would have taken that spot and screwed over the guy even more!
