I think the Phillies will still be okay. Valdez played alot down the stretch of the run because of Rollins injury. He also has come up with some clutch hits down the stretch as well. Hopefully this is just a 1 game thing and Polanco will be back for game 2, he is a great contact hitter.

Having the day off between games 1 and 2 helps, but according to Stark, Polanco told Manuel he couldn't bend over to put on his shoes when he was getting ready to head to the park today.

It was. I'd heard most of that during a pre-game feature they did on him on FSO before a game much earlier in the season, but it's great that the dude's story is being told nationally.

Yah I read that. Everyone was so worried about his elbow then he hurts his back on Monday.
