-28 was definitely too high... any line over -20.5 is too high. I think Ohio State will be working on their running game (with their RB's instead of Pryor) to take a lot of the pressure off Pryor this week and let him heal up for the Wisconsin game.

Indiana played a terrible defense last week.

Devon Torrence is the least of my worries. OJ hasn't made a play in the passing game yet. Everytime a corner is beat and he is supposed to be over the top on the play but he is MIA. Barnett showed up in the weeks before and he played the same position. Christian Bryant played like a man possesed on saturday and I think he will make a fine replacement for Moeller since he is out for the year. OJ is the only part of the secondary that concerns me.

For the offense, if Tressel plays tresselball expect a close one into the 4th and a 31-14 or 24-7 win. I hope pryor can throw. They needed to get a little more vertical in the passing game last week when they were throwing. Illinois was wise to the short possession pass we had showed previously. OSU will win but I predict another ugly one.

you cannot downplay the injury to pryor here. he may start to second guess his legs if he's feeling any pain and that is a very bad thing for OSU. I expect OSU to win by 7-10. I'd also like to hear a report of Guiton working out with the 2nd team or even the first team so we know if TP goes down again we don't have to watch Bauserman bumble around.

What is the status of TP's injury? I haven't heard anything since the game.

No real updates, just that they plan to limit his running in practice next year. Dustin Fox (former OSU CB) tweeted that there is no such thing as a mild quad strain. This will be something that will be around for a while.

Time for the OL to step up just like they did last year, which ended up with OSU churning out 200+ yards of rushing each game at the end of the season.

I have no worries about the defense nor Pryor. He will adjust his play like he did with his knee injury last year. OSU is a versatile team imo which is very good.

we'll find out, although beating Indiana probably won't tell us much.

Cassel is a very good QB and could give the OSU DBs some work this week. However the IN Defense is probably worse than OU or Marshall's. There is absolutely no way the Hoosiers can stop the OFF anytime they seriously want to score. It was sickening to watch the Hoosier DEF just hand the game over to scUM after the valiant effort given by their OFF the entire game. Unfortunately this IUD couldn't stop splooge.

Cassel is a pretty good QB, but I still don't see the Chiefs making the playoffs!!

IMO the Buck pull out a 7/10 pt win but wouldn't be shocked by Darkest Day III

Well there's been one problem I've noticed for the Buckeyes besides special teams, and that's being susceptible to the pass. Unfortunately, Ben Chappell is quite a passer, so this game has the potential to be really close.

If Pryor isn't better than 90% there will be no running plays called for Pryor. If Pryor isn't better than 90% Tressel will tell Pryor not to scramble, throw the ball in the stands. If Pryor isn't better than 90% this game will be low scoring Tressel Ball. If Pryor isn't better than 90% and Ohio State gets up by 14 points Bauserman or Guiton will be handing off to OSU's tailbacks. Tressel needs a healthy Pryor to beat Wisconsin.

With that being said Ohio State has the #5 defense in the country, Michigan has the #102 defense in the country, out of 120. Michigan beat Indiana by one TD.

I agree. Suspect pass D and a hobbled Pryor cold spell problems for the Buckeyes this Saturday. But the Bucks can win ugly again and I'll take it! A "W's" a "W".

I just don't see the Hoosiers playing with OSU. Ohio State is really going to come out with something to prove on offense and defense. I really think the OLine will put this game on their backs and we will run for 220+ yards. Pryor will hit some throws in the 1st half and will be limited in the 2nd half.

Im taking the Buckeyes 34-10

watched a replay of the UM game, this is right on. (except the type-o on the QB name) Indiana's passing offense is legit.

UM's defense is terrible. Meanwhile OSU's defense is #5.

I know people have said it on here but Chris Spielman just said it best "It's a group effort, their are holes on some plays but the running backs are not hitting the holes." "All it takes is one game to get the running game going to get to where it was last year."

In my humble opinion this year there is Alabama.....and then all of the rest.

Right now OSU is the "best of the rest" but it wouldn't take much to send the Buckeyes packing to a BCS bowl other than Glendale, AZ on January 10th.
I couldn't agree more with you on this one.
WebFire;506695 wrote:Look for that line to come down. I think OSU should win by around 2 touchdowns. Of course, I thought they'd beat Illinois by 3+ touchdowns.

I see Ohio State winning by something like 17-20 points. I didn't think they'd beat the spread against Illinois though just because Illinois has always played the Bucks tough when the Bucks are ranked in the top 5-10.

If the past is any indication, the Bucks should play in the BCS title game after the performance against Illionois.

2002- OSU wins 23-17 in OT
2006- OSU wins 17-10
2007- OSU loses 28-21

Every time Illinois plays us tough, we go to the title game.

I'll believe it if he gains over 100 yards on designed, called from the sideline, running plays.
