The Mozilla Seabird, part of the Mozilla Labs’ Concept Series, is an experiment in how users might interact with their mobile content as devices and technology advances. Drawing on insights culled from the Mozilla community through the project’s blog, a focus quickly developed around frustrating physical interactions. While mobile CPUs, connectivity and development platforms begin approaching that of desktops, the lagging ability to efficiently input information has grown ever more pronounced.

This thing looks completely ridiculous! It's a shame that Mozilla says that they have no intentions at this time of making this concept a reality. Most if not all of this technology exists now, at least in its infancy. It would be nice if Apple, Google, and other phone manufacturers take not of this and begin working on a phone that would make these ideas a reality.

Well, it's just a concept phone, so no OS or carrier were featured. The concept was only concerned with the physical phone and its features. Obviously its ability to make calls, browse the web, run apps, etc. would be continent upon the mobile network it would run and and the OS it used.

The most far fetched thing about the concept is the screen. We currently have no method for making screens that shape.
