Bet he don't steal anymore. Maybe more criminals should be thrown out with the trash. The dude went from hiding from the police to begging for them to find him.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1314889/Man-killed-rubbish-truck-hideaway-starts-compact-him.html
He was 'hiding in a dumpster behind a Wal-Mart in Alliance and he was hiding from police and it was just picked up and dumped in a trash truck and they were mobile and he needed help.'
Emergency operators also took a 911 call from a frantic Brienzo, begging them to find the truck. 'I'm in the back of a trash truck that keeps compacting me!' Brienzo said as dispatchers urged him to calm down.
Police say Brienzo was literally being compacted along with between six and eight tons of rubbish mostly discarded cardboard.

As Stark County Emergency Management officials used the signal from Brienzo's mobile phone to locate where he was, police were frantically searching Alliance for the truck.
During a 16-minute conversation, Brienzo told dispatchers he thought he was dying. 'I'm dying man,' he said, complaining his bones were being crushed, saying he knew he wouldn't walk again and screaming at the top of his lungs each time the truck driver picked up another load and compacted what was in the truck.

I hope it squeezed all the "bad" out of him. I'll bet his underwear wasn't in good shape!

Anyone want to bet when/if he sues the trash company and how much a judge ends up awarding him?

I guess the lesson learned is if you are caught thieving at Walmart don't hide in the dumpster.

One thing I could not figure out is how he was able to dial 911 and talk on his cell phone as he was being crushed by the truck's trash compactor.

If he wouldn't have been able to get that call out no one would ever have found him. Ever.

Between this idiot and the drunk woman calling repeatedly for a husband, the Alliance 9-1-1 dispatchers have been busy dealing with mental midgets this year.

It'd have to be under negligence and I guess it just depends on what the "procedures" are for making sure people aren't hiding in trash if there are any.

Every garbage dumpster has large signage indicating not to get in or play around a dumpster.

The garbage man is not required to get out of his truck, and fish around the dumpster to see if someone's in it before dumping it.
