Snot, I was only joking about Ke$ha. That song she did about having a slumber party in her basement was really good. Its easy to see she has a lot of talent.

I am going to make 2 lists here....one Christian, one secular...I mostly only listen to Christian music, but figure most of you won't know who those bands are...

CHRISTIAN
Country:Not many straight Country Christian Acts..mostly secular bands that have Christian Members. So I will leave this one "blank"
Classic Rock:Bride
Modern Rock (any type):This is a hard one because there is so much...I will say....Skillet (with Spoken/Demon Hunter in a close second)
Hip Hop/R&B: Don't have a fave again because there is a lot I like...but I will go with... Petidee
Pop: House of Heroes
Oldies Pop (general): Not THAT old...but Rich Mullins

SECULAR
Country: Not a big country fan...but...Tim McGraw
Classic Rock:Steppenwolf
Modern Rock (any type): Is Rage Against the Machine too old? If so...then nobody (big fan of 90's rock)
Hip Hop/R&B: Does Beastie Boys fit in this category? If not...anything with a good bass line.
Pop:I actually do like Kesha...sort of...Anything but Lady Gaga...UGHK!
Oldies Pop (general): Not sure If I have one...How about anything but The Beatles...LoL

Wow...can you tell I have issues picking faves...LoL

I find that I much prefer songs that reference Christianity or about Christianity rather than artists who only do songs about Christianity.

Country: Gary Allan
Classic Rock: Beatles
Modern Rock (any type): Okkervil River
Hip Hop/R&B: Not really a big fan, but I'll go with Ghostface, as I've liked some of his stuff that I've heard.
Pop: I don't listen to the radio, don't know who Justin Bieber is, and not really sure of what's currently categorized as "Pop", I'm assuming it's that crap that blares out of my Girlfriends car when she turns it on, before I connect my IPOD.
Oldies Pop (general): Whoever sang Up on the Roof.

Country: Zac Brown Band
Classic Rock: Eagles
Grunge: Pearl Jam, White Stripes or Nirvana (since you left out a HUGE genre, I added it)
Modern Rock (any type): Red Hot Chilipeppers or REM (I guess this is kinda Grunge)
Hip Hop/R&B: Kid Cudi (new CD is awesome) and Em, but hes had some stuff I hate.
Pop: O.A.R (I think their new stuff is Pop, and I still love it) or Jack Johnson if that is Pop.
Oldies Pop (general): Beatles I guess, or Michael Jackson pre-90s.

I know it is just a matter of taste, but I just find Ke$ha to be horrible on all levels. Can't stand her voice. Can't stand her beats. Can't stand her songs. There are some people whose popularity I understand even if I don't prefer their music, but I just don't understand hers.

I like pop music quite a bit and especially a good pop bitch singer, just not her.

You're listening to the wrong artists, obviously. Turn off your local radio station and look up some real country artists.
