It's not really all that great. Not terrible. Passing game is inconsistent. Running game looked great today though. But we have been playing and racking up points against teams from MI and WV. Not good enough to win a state title IMO. The D is good enough to compete with the top dogs in OH but the offense is not.d.woods50fan.;495686 wrote:Ive heard a lot about how Big Reds offense is not really all that good but look at the numbers Vs Inkster was up 30-0 when 1st string offense was subbing in new players, so who knows how many more they might have scored, Vs McKeesport they only scored 7 but look how much bigger in size compared to Big Red they were and they were physical plus don't forget with one minute left in game they took over inside the 5 and might again have scored, Vs Brooke once again 1st string was up 28-0 before subbing ( yes one was defensive ) and getting 5 yards a carry on average, maybe if they play most of 3rd and 4th quarter there might be another 2-3 tds, never know, Vs DC offense scored 14 and had a drop in the end zone that would have made 21 and they were big and physical. so just look at the numbers 1st string is scoring compared to time that they play.
And I'm not looking at numbers at all. Numbers don't give you an accurate picture. I'm basing my opinion on what I've watched at the games. The O is good enough to beat up on the teams we play, score enough to go undefeated but won't be enough to win state. Our O is relatively suspect.
The offense was not great last year and that was with a significantly better QB.
