He was reported to the police by a private detective who was hired by a parent upset over his son's playing time. Good Lord.

Not a smart coach. After he got pulled over the first time, he should have wised up. I would have called the cops because there was a PI stalking me.

On Feb. 21, Adelman left the Bullpen near PGE Park at 1:30 a.m. after drinking, or so he would later tell police, five beers. Hennessee, who, Layne said, was inside the tavern with the Cardinals' coach, immediately called 9-1-1 to report Adelman had "at least 10 drinks."

She called back several minutes later to report that Adelman was in the drive-thru lane at Taco Bell.
A drunk guy at Taco Bell at 1:30am...? No! I refuse to believe it!

1. The coach should not have been driving drunk.

2. This may be a bit cynical, but I wouldn't feel bad at all of the kid sat the bench the rest of his career. Just like I don't feel bad at all for Mustain riding the pine at USC.
