Hint: Who won the Notre Dame-Purdue game in week 1?

There is a chance indeed of them losing to both of those teams. Both are good programs and Stanford had an impressive showing last weekend. I will still wager anything you want that that the worst Notre Dame's record will be after the Stanford game is 1-3. I'm not married but I will grant you rights to my future wife on the first night of our marriage and I'll throw in my first born child if they are 0-4. What would you like to wager?

Probable losses to: Michigan (done), USC, Utah, Pitt, and Stanford. Possibility of losing: Michigan State and Boston College.

I agree 5-7 is very possible.

It's not too late to delete it. If they can't figure it out, why spoil the fun?

Let's exchange information. I also would like to bet you that ND doesn't start 0-4. Just think, you could be a very rich man with all the people on here that don't believe ND starts 0-4. But I'm with Karen Lotz and the others, ND will at worst be 1-3. What do you want to wager?

I really think Kelly is the man. Yeah, ND lost a tough one to Michigan and I agree that they win if Crist plays the entire game but they made some great defensive adjustments in the second half and kept Robinson pretty much in check except for the final drive of the game. I still believe that Kelly will put the Irish in a position to win on a weekly basis, the difference from last year on the defensive side of the ball isn't close! They never gave up after losing their QB and going down 14 points, under Weis, they fold like a dirty dish rag.

I like ND's chances against MSU, they're tested heading to East Lansing, MSU hasn't played anyone yet.......advantage ND.

ND hasn't really played anyone yet either. Two teams that won't even finish top 4 in the Big Ten, one of which (Purdue) probably won't play in a bowl game this year. That isn't saying much. Advantage no one.

Purdue could start the season 5-1, with victories over Western Illinois (W 31-21), Ball State, Toledo, Northwestern, and Minnesota. Plus they have Illinois, Indiana, and Michigan State on their schedule, all very beatable. While I don't see them beating Wisconsin, Ohio State, or Michigan, I thought that last year too and was wrong.

I just watched the Notre Dame-Michigan game for the third time, certainly frustrating not to come away with a W.

Looking at stats and highlights alone, Michigan State doesn't seem so impressive offensively. They aren't a stretch run team, it's power football. Dantonio wants to create OSU-Lansing Campus with their style of play. I think the defensive line is adequate, and Calabrese and Te'o will be able to stuff the run with gigantic Williams clogging gaps. Force the Spartans to pass and Notre Dame will shut them down.

Notre Dame, offensively, needs to click. Crist needs to stretch the field vertically with TJ Jones and Michael Floyd. Michigan State's linebackers are as good as any team they'll see all year, the underneath stuff won't be as easy. Michael Floyd needs to win this game for the Irish.

I'd like to see 31-20, Irish. Floyd catching two touchdowns and Notre Dame rushing for 125 whilst holding the Spartans to <300 yards of offense.

If the Irish go 5-7, will everyone think he should be fired?

I think ND wins this one, and by at least 10. MSU just hasn't impressed me.

Ok Karen and Ewok on board. ND icon vs OSU icon of the winners choice to be displayed till the end of CFB season? (end of November?, or January?)
