If he is wanting to play QB and is ready to give up on Notre Dame this early into the process, he likely wasn't going to last anyway. If he has his heart set on QB and can do that at OU, more power to him. It is best for both parties it happens now as opposed to a year down the road when the coaching to get him ready to compete at DB would be wasted. Hopefully he made the right decision for him and it works out.

unless he wants a degree in journalism--other than that, IMO-not even close.

Agree with the last two sentiments. Journalism is maybe, maybe the only thing that comes close. But that's basically just connections at a certain point and Notre Dame trumps Ohio. I should note Ohio was one of my last choices, I have nothing against the place.

But better for him to leave now, Notre Dame will need the scholarships for defensive players.

Hopefully Brian Kelly reads this, otherwise he might not know about those crossing routes.

ND doesn't play any man coverage. Those crossing routes will be pick 6's.

Uconn must not of either

And do you find it completely necessary to be a complete ass without being provoked....or is that just your MO?

Id feel comfortable wagering that Denard will not throw a pick 6. Im guessing 1 pick, when he gets pressured and doesnt read the D right, but no pick 6's

Considering how uncommon "pick 6's" are, it's not like your wager is ballsy.

Can I get a grammar police unit on your previous post too? karen hop on it.

Well yeah I was being slightly facetious when I said they'd be pick 6's. Just saying ND plays mostly zone coverage so those crossing routes won't be as available as they were last week.

I'm nervous about tomorrow's game, not going to lie. I'm just not sure if Michigan is good enough to beat Notre Dame this year. Too many bad things can happen in this game, like Denard taking a beating. If we win the turnover battle, we have a good chance of pulling the upset.

Didnt know that, see DWC its not difficult to post without being a douche. Same D coordinator as last year or did Kelly bring in his own guy?

Lol if there was such a glaring mistake in my grammar why not just correct it yourself, I mean does it really matter that much to you?

He brought in his own guy, Bob Diaco. He switched the D back to the 3-4 and actually seems to have an actual scheme or an idea how to coach. Tenuta's first, last, and only thought was to bring the house, which in turn left CBs and safeties on islands.

Yeah I do remember last year in the ND UM game there were NUMEROUS what looked like almost all out blitzes, that man sure loved to send heat. Did he run base 4-3 as well? Is Diaco from Cinci with Kelly?

That would be the thing that would worry me the most if I were a Michigan fan. I'm not saying ND's defense is full of Jack Tatums or anything like that, but last week when they arrived at the ball they arrived with some bad intentions unlike I've seen from them in a while. The LB's are pretty active and aggressive and look forward to contact, especially Te'o and Carlo. With a true frosh that played only a couple plays and a possibly mentally checked out Forcier backing up Robinson, its going to be pretty important for him to avoid big hits.

Tenuta switched to the 4-3 last year for some unknown reason and blitzed probably 85 percent of the defensive plays. It usually was just go ahead and run in there, see if you can run into the ball carrier, no real design to it. Diaco was the DC/inside linebacker coach at Cinci for the 2009 season. Before that he was at Virginia with Al Groh and was a co DC at Central Michigan under Kelly. He is a young, energetic coach who will probably be a head coach somewhere sooner than later. I wouldn't mind seeing him stick at ND with Kelly for about 10 years and then become the head coach in waiting.

It's still very much there karen, lurking in the shadows. :D It's no big deal, tiernan just gives him shit for it. I do it too so it's all good, don't take it personally.
