Right, Genoa gets only 4 1st level & 0 2nd level from Gibsonburg and would need at least 4 of their 6 opponents to win to be close so we should still be at least 3rd with a loss :)

Beat Ashland and we are #2 and are all happy:) and who knows Padua may help us out and beat EC:)

Ahhh...the joys of a tough schedule.

I'd rather win tonight and leave no doubt.

I just looked at Joe Eitel's rankings and noticed something odd. Are Toledo Scott and Toledo Woodward really in region 14?? I know enrollment is down in the city, but they are/have been DI in every other sport. That is a huge drop.

They have both been DII in basketball since at least last year possibly the year before. Rogers and Waite are both DIII for football now as well.

Rocketsfan-Not only will the Sorry Lakes League not even exist after this year, but nowhere in my post did I suggest Oak Harbor leaving the SBC. What I said was for Lake to try and add Oak Harbor or a school of similar size and football significance to their Out of conference schedule.

I think there is a glitch with about 5 teams listed at the end of 14 that don't belong there! all 0-6 with no position after #26.

Not surprised by EC losing, I saw that one coming. Orrville will be fine maybe drop a spot to 4.

Triway also lost tonight.

I believe Orrville just had Mansfield Sr. win tonight....that could hurt us and drop a couple spots. I guess we'll see what RR1 comes up with! haha

Looks like #1 CF, #2 EC, #3 or #4 Orrville (25.5 & 81.5) & Genoa ( 30 & 76 ) really close , (I don't do divisors) like 107 to 106 full value points,
#5 triway, #6 Clearview, #7 Galion, #8 Edison, #9 Bucyrus, #10 OG, #11 Huron, #12 Evergreen, Van Wert & Ontario .
Really not a lot of changes with Clearview & Galion the only ones to move more than 3 spots up. Alot of teams played low win teams or lost like Orrville, EC, triway, & Edison the teams that could have picked up big points all seemed to lose.

Orrville and Genoa are decimals away from each other, and as of right now are both in good position to host a home game. Orrville can control their seeding much better than Genoa though, since O-ville plays Clear Fork for one. Either way the top 4 currently have a good shot of keeping it that way and hosting a home game. It will be interesting, however, on who will draw Ottawa Glandorf, assuming they make it. If a team will ever be riding momentum and with a chip on their shoulder, it's them. I'd hate to play them week 11.

As long as OG wins they're in, I see Edison losing to Clyde, bumping them down. Huron needs to win their way in, and Bucyrus&Clearview can be easily jumped. It's an illogical estimate, but I see EC, CF, Orrville, Genoa, Triway, OG, Huron, and Clearview in, in no particular order. Seeding will be huge imo, as OG and Huron could prove tough 5-8 seeds.

That game meant more for Ashland than it did for Orrville IMO. We are sitting very good right now, while Ashland was down to #7 in their region. They needed those computer points more than we did. Of course we could of locked up a playoff spot possibly a home game with a win last night, but nothing hurt by that loss. I think it was a good reality check for this team, and gave the boys some things to think about. We can and should win out, but we will see if we can bounce back from this loss and see what team shows up the rest of the way.

Those lower seeded teams could be very scary, and could give some upsets to a few teams! Playoffs will be here before we know it!

Why did Dufendock and Upham sit out last night

Upham sat out cause he missed practices but Dufendock played and played well he had a kickoff return for a TD and some tackles for loss but most of the starters didn't play after the first quarter. Pickard kicked a nice 47 yard field goal also.

Buckeyes, College games, then Tuslaw & Timken, ( yawner ) Applebee's riblets Yankees beat Twins and home, so that fills a day and time for bed :)
Just waiting until Joe updates the region.

So you go to Applebees...but not BW3's. :)

I made small talk with myself after the game last night...hoped we could break down the region over some wings. Maybe some other time.

We went to BW's last night and sat in the front section, didn't see you there.
Applebee's was tonight at Massillon, went with some friends from Tuslaw, I drove so got in free and had free eats at Applebee's. Was listening to college games between yawns

i was there...sat at a table near the bar. saw all the traffic that came back that way......if you'd have walked back, you'd have seen me. I looked in that front room on my way out, but no one look familiar. Big table of ashland kids. Back room had the AHS class of 80 reunion.
