Drew and his fantastic 50 is fun to look at but his nothing but a computer game, the reality is in the Harbin points and that's what will count, I think he already had Orrville picked to lose 2 games and is 3-3 in Orrville picks.

I couldn't disagree more. Don't just take one facet like head to head picks...need to look at the overall info on Regions. It is an amazing program. Is it Fact? No. Is it informative? You bet.

My point was it is fun to look at, but if he only was right in 3 of our 6 games, don't put any money on what he says
, I had us correct in 5 of 6 without all the percentages floating out there

Two of his wrong picks were barely.
He picked NW by 3, we won by 2....would have been NW by 3 (20-17) if Turner doesn't return that punt.
He picked us by 2 against Copley, lost by 1.....and again, would have been Riders by 7 if refs didn't miss 2 calls.
And he makes no bones about weeks 1-4 being toughest to pick. Not enough data is known to be as accurate as he'd like.
He's beat CalPreps 3 weeks out of 6...so he's just as reliable as him.
Not bad that he's right 80+% of the time....for a game as seemingly unpredictable as high school football.

He does a great job with it, and I'm glad it's him doing all that number crunching rather than me.

You cant feel bad for Lake for being 5-1 and on the far outside looking in. Historically they know that Swanton on a good year will produce 2 wins and that Rossford now is worth nothing. Even if they would have beaten Northwood they would have beaten a 7-3 at best, DV team. Not much for a significant ooc win in the playoff picture. We need to find a new team to open with or need to replace Rossford once they are in the same league with a school like Oak Harbor. Too many small schools in the league to have anything less than DIV teams in the OOC games.
If they beat Eastwood this week they are still going to need a ton of help because the moons will have to align if they have a shot in this world next week everyones favorite team.

I know anything can happen on a friday night but there aren't enough moons to align. The Comets will be ready for the Flyers but 1 week at a time Gibsonburg first then we'll be ready for Lake's visit. Good Luck Comets the rest of the way, however long the ride may be.

Oak Harbor will not leave the Sandusky Bay Conference to join the remnants of the Sorry Lakes League. Not gonna happen.

I think he was talking about OH as a nonleague game to strengthen the early schedule.

Well of course they'll be ready but at the end of the day no team from here on out should come within 50 of the Comets until the playoffs

Not sure what's worse...Genoa fans repeatedly saying how good they are or Orrville fans saying something about Genoa's schedule?

Games this week in region 14:
Games of the week in bold
Elyria Catholic (6-0) @ Padua Franciscan (4-2)
Clear Fork (5-1) @ Mansfield Madison (2-4)
Orrville (5-1) @ Ashland (5-1)
Genoa (6-0) @ Gibsonburg (0-6)
Triway (5-1) @ Manchester (6-0)
Milan Edison (4-2) vs Oak Harbor (5-1)
Bucyrus (4-2) vs Lucas (1-5)
Huron (4-2) vs Perkins (1-5)
Clearview (4-2) vs Brooklyn (2-4)
Van Wert (3-3) @ Wapakoneta (5-1)
Ottawa Glandorf (4-2) @ St. Mary's Memorial (1-5)
Galion (3-3) vs Norwalk (2-4)
Elyria Catholic travels to Padua and could make a statement with a win over the divsion III school. With a win, they would all but lock up a playoff spot. Padua's two losses came to the hands of Strongsville, and Walsh Jesuit, both Div I and II playoff teams on a consistent basis. This will tell us a lot about the Panthers, the last team they played with a winning record they barely squeeked out an overtime win against Bishop Hartley.
Orrville travels to Ashland Community Stadium to take on the Arrows in a very interesting OCC match-up. Both teams enter at 5-1, while Orrville's loss coming to Copley (6-0) in overtime (Orrville had that game won twice if not for two horrible officiating calls) and Ashland losing to Marion Franklin (6-0) in a very close 12-7 game. Orrville could lock up a playoff spot with a win over Ashland. But as an outsider looking in, I think this game means more for Ashland's season and playoff hopes. Division II region 5 maybe one of the toughest regions in the state, Ashland is 5-1 and they are the 7th seed. I think they need this win over Orrville more to get them the points they need to get back to the playoffs. Orrville has an advantage due to the weaker region outside the top 4 teams (EC, CF, Orrville, Genoa). Of course though I want my Riders to take care of business and lock up a playoff spot tomorrow night. Huge computer points and conference championship implications ride on this game.
Triway travels to Akron Manchester tomorrow and would probably be considered the Pac-7 championship game. Manchester comes in with an impressive 6-0 record, but the two teams they have played with a winning record they have only beat them by a total of 11 points. This should be a shootout between two very good scoring teams. The Titans, with a win could join the top teams in region 14, but that is only with a win against the Panthers.
Van Wert could get itself back in playoff talk with a win over a tough Wapakoneta team tomorrow night. Van Wert has a very very difficult schedule this year, so with a win tomorrow night they could go to 4-3 on the season and probably jump back up to the 8 or 9 spot in the region. A lot of points here for Cougars. The only loss the Redskins have was by 9 points to division III Celina, who is 5-1.
Genoa goes up against a very very very difficult team in Gibsonburg, but the Comets pull the upset and win by 60.............
haha
Good luck to all teams in the region tomorrow night. Hope everyone has injury-free games and safe travels as a lot of teams are on the road this weekend.

The way I see it after tonight it will be #1 EC, #2 Orrville (loss we drop to #3) , #3 CF ( or #2) #4 Genoa, #5 triway ( or win & move to 4th Genoa 5 ), #6 Clearview, #7 Edison, # 8 OG or Bucyrus, with Van Wert and Huron right behind very close as 5 to 11 could be only fractions of a point apart.
And I forgot to mention Genoa's schedule

I think we were 3 this week and CF was 2? So are you saying even with a loss we don't drop? I find that hard to believe.

It's going to be VERY tough to go into Manchester and come out with a win. They are tough to beat at home, especially with the quality team like they have this year. However, we were ahead last year at halftime, but we failed to score in the 2nd half. If we can start off well and maintain some consistency in the 2nd half, we could pull it out. It'll be tough, but we CAN win! Go Titans!

I think it's accurate...even if we lose, I think we stay at 3.
If Genoa's 6 defeated opponents all win (unlikely)...they'd have 13.19 points....so if that happened, they'd jump us if we lost to Ashland.
