The second was worst than the first, without any more information. If that was an end of the game play (the first one), not sure what the guy could do other than try to move the ball forward - if it wasn't an end of the game play - stupid decision.

The second play should never have happened. I can understand having guys back in the event of a trick play, but the coaches should have instructed the players to not even try to catch the ball.

I agree with this.

The Texas game...WOW. I would have squibbed it or onsided it again.

The 1st play (kid running backwards and throwing it in the air), why wasn't it blown dead before that when there were 2-3 defenders riding him back? That was my 1st thought anyway.

in my college scrimmage this past week, brought in our qb from sweden. we called the veer. apparently he didn't know that we were running 1 back veer. he did the hand off, pulled it ran around the edge, opened up, planted and pitched the ball.......to no one. defense picks it up and goes 85 yards for a TD. it was unbelievable.

The back is moving his feet in an attempt to escape, he really had no forward progress.

The first two were just honest mistakes by the kids. I am sure they will never make either one of those mistakes again.

In the imbedded video from Texas, those had to be the worst football announcers I have ever heard.
