VAN BUREN — Aric Shock scored three touchdowns and Mohawk handled Van Buren a 44-0 loss Friday in a non-conference opening game.

Shock ran for 70 yards on 15 carries and also caught two passes for 62 yards in scoring three touchdowns.

Devin Cartwright also had a big night for the Warriors with 50 rushing yards and three touchdowns.

Mohawk outgained Van Buren 294-148 and scored twice on special teams.

Mohawk got off to a quick start with four first-quarter touchdowns to ruin Van Buren coach Kevin Shoup’s debut.

Ryan Adolph was 9 of 18 passing for 81 yards for the Black Knights.

Brandon Lucas had 30 rushing yards and 28 receiving yards.
