Ive been having problems logging on here all morning. I can go to anywhere else and its fine just ohio chatter is the only problem Im having.

Samething going on with me slow loading and sometimes not loading at all. But Im not blaming justin just wondering what was going on.

Yeah, the changes to the site have hit the server hard. I am currently working on getting it back up to speed.

Yeah, not sure what happened but it seems to be back to normal now. I was just checking some stats on the server and hadn't implemented any changes and it just started running faster. I'll continue to monitor it throughout the day.

It got slow again and I've done some tuning. Hopefully these changes will help. Next step is to throw more money at it (argh) and upgrade the server.

In some ways I am relieved to hear that my troubles getting on the site today and part of yesterday were not my fault. Whenever a computer I'm using has problems, it can be assumed that I screwed it up somehow. the annoying thing is that this is Thursday and the first games of the new high school football season begin tonight for a few teams and tomorrow for the vast majority of the remaining teams. Those of us who are very interested in high school football and the various contests going on, are naturally a little more anxious than the other posters who have no dog in that fight.

It also will help if people avoid this site from 3 p.m. Friday until about 2 a.m. Saturday morning. You know, to ward off the inevitable football-related site crashes.
