I wonder if the whole situation that night, being arrested etc., dealing with the girl's dad, might have left him with no reason to live. IDK.

Darwinism, indeed. While I hate to see the driver get hurt pulling a stupid stunt like that, the most important thing is that he didn't hurt anyone else.

^^^Agreed. It's amazing that traffic, both ways, didn't have any reciprocal accidents and only the kid suffered from his actions.

This may have been one of the rare cases where NOT wearing a seat belt saved his life. It looks like he was thrown prior to impact with the bridge, which most certainly would have killed him. Clearly the kid wasn't thinking and now has a huge price to pay - assuming he survives. Unbelieveable!

675 is an awesome road to speed on. Supposedly this tool got caught with a 15-year-old prior to this, with drugs and alcohol in his car.

Probably a suicide attempt.
