My contract with AT&T is up and I really want to GTFO of their service. I'm liking what I see from the Evo so I am currently leaning that way. Is there anything good coming out soon that will rival the Evo or Droid X? I don't want anything with a physical keyboard so the Droid 2 and Epic are out.

Out of my AT&T contract in 6 days, went back to Verizon and got the incredible, love it.
The droid X, downside being that it is motorola
And as karen said, sources once again point to a CDMA iPhone as early as January.

Who gives a fuck about the damn iPhone? Droid is already and will continue to be the better phone.

I currently have an iphone and would have already switched if it was already on Verizon or Sprint. Both platforms are great (iOS and Android).

I don't know but don't let our sprint fanboy talk you into their "4g" crap. Although sprint is pretty cheap.

Its not 4g. Its like 3 1/2 g. T mobile actually has the fastest network and it isn't even "4g"

Sent from my T-Mobile myTouch 3G

Its not really 4G. Just marketing BS. The new technology they are coming out with is significant but its still essentially 3G.

Justin I've had the Droid Incredible for about 3 months now, I have no complaints at all about it. Fast, smooth running phone with a very user friendly OS.

Not sure what you mean by just videos..

Record video: Yes (and upload to YouTube)

Watch videos (ESPN, YouTube, SI, CNN, USAToday): Yes

And send/receive videos, obviously.

This thing is the next android coming out for verizon. I would assume this fall sometime.

Edit: a couple of articles from july speculated an August release, for the samsung Fascinate.

Yep..

The Droid 2 does look pretty cool, but like Justin, I'm against the sliding keyboard. Just too much stuff there than can go wrong.

After further review it looks like October, but the fascinate looks like a bad ass phone. You can use it as a wi fi hotspot for 5 devices and it does 720P videos.

Damn, that does look pretty good.

Not a huge fan of Samsung products, but this one looks great.

Imagine cell phones 5 years from now.. hell, even 1 year from now. Unreal.

Epic 4G is apparently pretty sweet.

http://www.engadget.com/2010/08/16/epic-4g-review/

Or if you don't mind waiting till late October/early November you could get a Windows Phone 7 device of which there are a bunch of sweet looking ones slated to come out. The benefit here is there will be nice support for all the enterprise stuff if you have a need as well as Office. Also, each phone has the Zune stuff so it essentially makes them a Zune HD.

Then there's the Xbox Live part. It's launching with some pretty decent games (Castlevania, Halo: Waypoint, Star Wars, Crackdown, and Guitar Hero) and since it uses XNA to develop the games it's easy to make a game for PC, 360, and Windows Phone at the same time so we should see a lot of XBLA type games. I'm pretty excited for this.

Just looked up more info on the Incredible. You can't use data while you're on the phone. No thanks.
