I know Sebring...used to do appraisal work there. I've been in Columbus since 1997, but my family is still back in Warren so I know what cha mean about crime.

These intruders were wearing ski masks when this happened.

I asked somebody what I should do if I caught someone doing that in my garage and they told me "beat the hell out of them and kill them if you have to." I told this person that my biggest fear was that the intruders would be minors. He said "so what?"

There is a reason my fiancee carries at all times when she is by herself.

crime can happen in any area at any time. You know, kinda like how 2 years ago the house right behind mine was held up at gunpoint one night.

Or the fact that the amount of shootings and murders in Columbus is at the highest rate it has been in years. Don't watch much news do you?

The funny part is after the garage got spray painted I called the cops and we got an estimate for the damages from my girlfriend's brother who is a contractor. He said "$1500". It worked out OK because the garage had shitty siding and the garage door actually collapsed on my head when I opened it once so I was planning on new siding/garage door anyway.

Fast forward 4 years later and my girlfriend reads in the newspaper that they caught the dude who did the spray painting (he was over 21, shocker). I thought nothing of it. About a year later I get a check in the mail for something like $300 from Mahoning County that says "restitution." I'm laughing because I thought it was a dead issue. Every so often we get a check for $10 or $20 and even got one for $100 a couple of weeks ago.

If I ever catch someone in that garage and I have them cornered I guarantee it won't be pretty. Besides sending my girlfriend to the emergency room, the clowns took a hatchet to the padding/seating on my weight equipment and I have a commercial gym in my garage. If they ever break into my house and mess with any of my cats it will be their death sentence.
Sebring? You are right about punks.

Sebring is full of punk trash like Homeworth is full of hick trash.

The funny thing about this is that you would expect it from teenagers but most of the people pulling these break-ins and vandalism are guys that are over 18 who should know better.

some news even though its not good news. They found some of my tools on the side of the road clear on the other side of the county. It was the dewalt set that had my name wrote all over them. they tried to destroy them and burn them so now they aint worth anything uggggggg. I hope they just give me five minutes with these guys if they find them.

I thought all the crime was supposed to be here in Columbus?

At least that was what the Canton/Massilion folks led me to think... :)

My girlfriend, who is from Sebring, thinks that Cleveland is the "murder capital of the world" (in her words).

THIS. At least in Salem there is the problem that no one wants to admit it's grown-ass men doing it (along with producing/moving a shitload of meth and other stuff), so they keep targeting the wrong demographic and nothing changes.

Ha! I live on the same street as backside of the mansion and about one block down. That lady will be working on that thing until I retire. They supposedly had some deal with the Football HOF to house the inductees but I think that was supposed to start about 2-3 years ago and the place STILL isn't open for business.

It is a terrorist act. You have been scarred forever, nevermind the fact that you were without air conditioning for quite some time.
