The original position when this site was created was to just say fuck politics altogether (I remember the thread about it on like the first or 2nd night of the sites existence). Coming up with this process was the only way anyone was willing to bother with it.

that control makes the site for shit, it limits or denies discussion as can be seen in the topics under discussion here. A thread not allowed that very much should have been discussed. The easiest solution us to just get rid of political discussion all together. Personally, I'd prefer that.
