I see no need for a multiplier. The entire state is broken down into school districts. If a school gets a student from outside their district, they count double. If a school district has more than one high school, they must geographically split the district up for each high school (and any student outside their small sub-district would count double). A private school would be pegged to whatever public district or subdistrict they reside in. Any students from outside that district or subdistrict would count double.

If you're not pulling in students from outside your area, your enrollment # stays the same. If you are, you're only affected to the extent you do.

It's better than a blanket multiplier to the whole school.

Paladin,

Don't forget kids come to Big Red to play & kids leave to play elsewhere. A couple of years ago Weirton, WVA won the state AA championship & at least one of starting RB's was from Big Red. Our #1 RB for the 09 season transferred to Toronto in August. It is a saloon door that swings both ways.

Thats a fraud .That should not be permitted in H.S. You play for the town you live in ( no transfers into apts., no phony "guardian", no loopholes of any kiind). Thats also why the country is in serious problem-- people want to bend the rules and not have to pay any consequences. Its open recruiting season, pure & simple. And its even worse with the privates. Cheating on a grand scale.

Kids don't HAVE to have the right to play where they want. If they don't stay at their hometown school to play, there are always cheerleading positions to try out for. The situation is absurd.

Sounds like a certain coach who didn't have much success is just full of excuses.

It's a joke that Youngstown Ursuline is in Div 5! They will win the Championship every year until the Statecomes up with a plan! A Division I football team competing against legitimate Div 5 schools. It's not fair!
