Gotta go to work. Canada awaits me. Good luck on that West Coast trip, Reds. A nice pennant race is always a good thing.

Gotta circle the wagons. Can't let this series ruin the season. Dusty needs to get them focused and just playing ball again. They looked tense in this series.

The Reds hit .186 (18-for-97) in series. Vs. the STL starting rotation we only got 9 hits and 2 Extra Base hits.... That's just pathetic

Big surprise... in a sweep the Reds didn't score as many runs or have as many hits as they are accustomed to. I mean those stats are atrocious, yes, but they lost 3 games and they didn't play well. What do you expect?

The season ebbs and flows. You can't win every game and there will be times where you get swept. It's part of the game. They just need to dust themselves off and forget about this series. As badly as they played they are still one game back

They were also up against 2 guys in the top 3 for the NL Cy Young award.

Lol yeah, I mean what did you guys expect? Before this series started, I said they'd be lucky to win one. I mean you're going up against 12-3, 16-6, and 9-4, obviously you're going to probably lose the series.

That being said, I didn't think they'd play THIS bad. I expected 2 or 3 losses, but didn't expect them to all be blowouts.

You expected 2-3 losses. They played much worse than you thought they would. Guess what... bad losses count the same as close games. But I also didn't expect them to win more than one game. Definitely a disappointing series though

I'm more irritated that no matter what happens in St. Louis later this year, the Cards have already won the season series. It could be key if this race goes down to the wire.

Here is the best Reds promotion I've ever seen, although it's only for Tuesday games. I just ordered tix for 2 of the dates, was this going on all year?

It says right there....
The Reds and Budweiser are teaming up to give Reds fans a great deal for every Tuesday this season!
But yeah, that's a pretty good deal.

They could easily have worded it that way even if they started the promotion midseason, I really don't think it's been going on all year.

I'm thinking about buying more and selling the tix on craigslist for $10. Then I could drink for $1 a beer.

As much as SOME of you Reds Chatterers annoy me, I still root for your team. You are in the NL and I'm a homey. I will always be for you unless you are playing the Tribe. I feel your pain and here's hoping you can get it back on track! I agree with Brandon Phillips. :-)

Lord was it hot for the first 5 innings! Bought $10 tickets outside the stadium......and the sat about 6 rows back from where Gomes didn't quite run down the ball hit by Rasmus. On that play it appeared frm view Gomes was going hard after it and it was a very difficult play probalby needing a timed slide to make the play and avoid injury....fans gave him hell but few make that play in LF. Gomes drilled a foul ball about 10 feet from us and in the next inning Pujols (3rd inning) slammed one right at us and dude in Pujols t-shirt snared it right in front of us. Rain came...it was a God-send...short delay and then we moved to the front row right behind the Reds dugout about 15 feet from Dusty and his toothpicks........Heisey LAUNCHED one over our heads and knocked the sunglasses off of a Cardinal hat wearing dude.....scared the hell out of everyone as his glasses just flew some 15 feet back and were pretty mangled. Had I been standing instead of sitting it would have tore my hat off my head. DVR'd the game and FOX never replayed where that ball went but you could hear everyone gasp.....the people beside us left after that...lol

After Cordero struck out Rasmus in the top of the 9th Hanigan tossed the ball to my 7-year old for the smile that still won't go away. Horrible game by the Reds and the umps.....but we really had a great day regardless

I would have liked to see the game progress from two places that didn't work out. One was the AB of Holliday in the 5th after Jay's well place full count double and the intentional walk to Pujols. After four pitches he walked, but if the ump called them correctly it should have been 2-2, so I'd have liked to have seen how it would have worked out from there - Bronson Kd him the AB before. So that loaded up the bases for a good AB by Rasmus. I'd have liked to have seen how the game progressed from there if Gomes would have caught the 0-1 foul ball down the line to end the inning, either by a sliding safe catch, like some other more accomplished fielders could have done, or a catch on a full bore rush that may have casued a season ending injury into the wall.

mhs......maybe the count should've been 2-2.....but with no harm done and the next batter down 0-2 (on a very favorable 1st pitch call) Arroyo gives up a grand slam.......so Bronson didn't bail himself out either like pitchers have to do on occasion

I92 I bet you were cooking under the sun in those seats. That's the section I sat in for the Saturday Braves game, section 109 I think it was.

yeah...108 or 109......we were in and out for the first 7 innings.......probably were the hottest as Reds were introduced onto the field as we were about 5 rows back of the dugout and it was just unbearble....we had to go cool down with some dippin dots to start the game!

That's pretty crazy, nice dedication though!

The wife wasn't too happy about going Tuesday but we still had a great time in the heat. We tried one of those frozen watermelon chills, very good but too much sugar after awhile.
