Which would be a bigger win for the Reds:

June 30th, win the last game of the home series with the Phils in a game started by Halladay, which keeps them from losing the series and going a game back of the first place Cardinals and two games back in the loss column.

Today, win the last game of the home series with the Cards in a game started by Wainwright, which keeps them from getting swept in the series and going a game back of the first place Cardinals and two games back in the loss column.

They better win this game. Hopefully Bphills first at bat he just blasts molina in the face with the bat instead of tapping pads.

I wouldn't shed a tear if Fagier Molina fell victim to a deadly 'accident' where the crane swinging above GABP fell on his queefer ass

I would say a win today would be bigger with all the drama brewing and bad blood over the past couple of days and since it will put the Reds back in to 1st.

I'm just glad Dusty did the smart thing for once and not bench Votto or Rolen or both for a Day game after a Night game

Oh you know they would have been PISSED if Dusty sat them for this game...no way they would be okay with being benched today.

Weather will be oppressive today. I see 77F dewpoint reported in Cincy.

Great 1st Inning for Bronson.... Always nice to get Pujols out on 1 pitch

I think this game is important to the Reds for the sake of confidence. To be fair, even if the Cards sweep the series the Reds still have about a month and a half to distance themselves. However, by winning this one today it will give the team that extra boost of confidence needed to get the job since they know they can beat the Cards.

Wow Arroyo not getting any reasonable calls here in the 2nd..... loads them up w/ 2outs

But gets out of the Inning w/ a strikeout

That is awful, absolutely awful.

He moved his glove because he was starting his pitching motion. NOT A BALK.

Another example of bad umpiring this series.

The last 4 pitches Bronson has has less of a pause than he did on the balk call.

I can't wait to get this series over with so we can stop hearing about Chris Welsh's man crush on Pujols

I'm sure you agree with the first pitch to Rasmus right? It was only 5 inches off the plate.

Think what you want, but the umpiring has been atrocious this series.

Little punk ass nobody rasmus .... Home Plate ump wasn't giving Arroyo ANYTHING that inning after 3 pitches two outs.... he ended up w/ 27 pitches and probably done with 89 through 5
