Bad umpiring is bad umpiring. Doesn't matter who the calls are against. He didn't say that the Reds have been getting screwed. He said another example of bad umpiring.

This ump has been awwwwwful...for both teams.

I swear to God Wainwright threw a curveball over the middle of the plate and the ump called a ball.

I'd be more pissed at Gomes' half-ass effort on the foul ball down the left field line. He was obviously scarred of the wall.

That just opened the door...staking Wainwright to a big lead in an otherwise pitcher's duel.

I wouldn't call it half-assed, but it was definitely a catchable ball

Wainwright is 15-0 this year when given 4 runs or more...this will be tough for the Reds to come back from.

I'd say it's damn near impossible.

That was a crazy bounce coming out of that BB....9 times out of 10 when it comes out like that it's cuase it hit the batter's shoe. Umps got 1 right I guess.

I would have rather tried to trade Nix and keep Dickerson instead.... Other than like a 3 week span Nix has pretty much been awful

Phillips wasn't talking trash, he was speaking truth, facts.

This series has been absolutely embarrassing. They better not keep blowing on the west coast trip or they'll be out of it by the time they get back.

Sucks that there are only 3 more games left in the season series for these two teams and that its the first week of September. Would like to see them going at it 6 times out of the last 9 games.

I think in the first month and a half we played something like 12 times?

Right but think what Cinci would be like the last weekend of the season if the Cardinals came to town with a 1 game lead.

Agree. As much as this series had a "playoff atmosphere," Cincy would be crazy.

You know what they say about "ifs" and "buts", don't you?

Does it go something like..."If the Cardinals collapse the last month of the season, will stlouiedipalma still be posting on OC?"

Homer Simpson: ""If ifs' and buts were candy and nuts..." um, how does the rest of that go?"

"We'd all have a Merry Christmas", or something like that. Of course, I prefer the old "If my Aunt had balls, she'd be my Uncle" one.

Yeah, I'd still be here.
