Would not understand this move at all. He plays the same position as Kobe and is just another head case.

He's a solid player who gives you scoring and defense off the bench. I'd understand the move 110%.

He may be a headcase, but the Zen Master is the guy who could find him mental peace.

Exactly^ The Lakers are trying hard to move Sasha.

Ironically, they offered the Cavs Sasha and their 1st round pick for Delonte, but the Cavs turned it down in favor of the Session deal.

Matt Barnes can't play the 2?

Starters
1 - Blake
2 - Kobe
3 - Artest
4 - Gasol
5 - Bynum

Backups
1 - Fisher
2 - Barnes
3 - Walton
4 - Odom
5 - Caracter or Ratliff

They still have Vujacic and if they move him, they will resign Shannon Brown.

Where do you play Delonte at?

Things like Injuries and sporadic play happen within a team. It's never a bad ideal to have depth. Signing Delonte West gives you added insurance and covers all bases.

Delonte is able to play the 1 and the 2, and he can play both very effectively as we've seen here in Cleveland.

Also, the Lakers may re-sign Shannon Brown, but I know the Cavs have been talking to Brown as well.

That's my point, is he really worth the trouble? I think Delonte is a talented player, but he's a headcase and the Laker's don't really have a "need" for him.

Sporadic things happen in Delonte's head, which is why they should stay away from him. This isn't a move they need to make. They are the defending champs, why bring in someone who will play due to injuries? The fact that he was banging Lebron's mom tells me all I need to know, if I'm the GM of the Lakers.

Brown won't go anywhere if he gets a fair deal from LA, which he will.

Lol if West gets a title before Lebron does..

He should make a porno with Gloria, wear his ring in it, and then mail to Lebron.

I'm not saying Brown is more talented. I just think with all things considered, they would rather have Brown. He has rapport within the team, Phil Jackson knows him, he's accustomed to his role, seems like he stays out of trouble.

You bring in Delonte and you just really don't know what to expect. He's in LA, coming off the bench and has to fit in with a different set of teammates.

Do you forget? Phil dealt with Rodman in Chicago and there has never been any NBA player as screwed up as Rodman.

Rodman was an attention whore, but I don't recall him ever really getting into trouble. He certainly wasn't banging Jordan's mom and wasn't riding a 3 wheeler prepared for a civil war.

Plus, the dude played the game as hard as anyone. He showed up and did his job, I would imagine he was rather easy to coach.

I'll agree with you on one point, Rodman did play hard. But I doubt he was easy to coach. If I remember he missed quite a few practices and games for God knows why. Maybe not anything criminal, but dying your hair red and wearing wedding dresses should be against the law.
