But they are not drastically higher. Three more HRs. Six more RBI.

You make it seem like he is only having his monster year because he plays in GABP.

I'll be glad when this series is over with. It's only been 1 game and karen lotz's unending sarcasm got played out about 2 hours ago. Usually sarcastic people who use irony to try and be funny are actually funny. Keyword, usually. smh

The 1-2 pitch to Conrad was in the zone and should have been called strike 3 to spare us the heroics by Heisey. The 2-0 and 2-1 pitches to O. Cabrera were both correctly called strikes. So the ump only missed one pitch in those two ABs.

Agreed. And his SLG is higher on the road.

Sarcasm not coming through on your end? I realize Votto is having a great year. He is far and away the leader for MVP at this point.

He might not have caught it because you keep arguing with him. I guessed that you were being sarcastic because I didn't think anybody with a brain would have mocked Votto's HR. Going opposite field is nothing to sneeze at.

I think it is time to send Stubbs down for a while. I've been a defender all season, but over the past 2 weeks he has looked baaad.

And because the ump won't call that strike up and in and in the zone, it doesn't keep Heyward from hanging out over the plate and getting his 3rd double of the game to left on outside pitches, this one likely for the game winning two RBI! We need electronic strike calls! Atrocious!

I think he made a pretty good pitch to Heyward there. He had to be close to 40 pitches didn't he? That's a lot for a closer.

I might be wrong here but didn't the fox trax thing or whatever show both the 1-0 and 1-1 to be outside of the zone? They were close for sure but you can't ask for the pitch low and outside to be a strike and the up and in one as well.

Seriously, Scott Rolen might be the best true baseball player I've ever seen. I'm talking about doing all of the little things fundamentally well. Takes the extra base, tags on short flys to right, that bunt was almost perfect, and he is money at 3rd.

I didn't see that, but the gameday one on the Reds website showed them to both to be in the strike zone. Surely you can ask for strikes to be called strikes!

Home plate umpire is clueless tonight. He looked to the 3rd base ump on the appeal of the swing with a right handed batter up. What a clown.

I rewound my TV and they were both outside the zone. Both really close and could have been called strikes. I'm not complaining, Maddux and Glavine lived about 3 inches off the plate for almost 2 decades.
