Without even looking at who Manchester put on the field, I'm going to assume they had less than 5 first teamers. Not really an accurate representation.

Signed, a Chelsea fan.

I went to the Man U game and I would say they played7-8 regulars the entire game. They did have their third string keeper in though. The first half of the Man U game the Wizards dominated going up 1-0 and controlling possesion until Conrad gave up a PK to Berbatov. Conrad was redcarded on the play and Berbatov
finished the PK. About 5 Mins later the Wizards scored on a corner. The 2nd half Man U controlled possesion but couldnt find the net. Man U played pretty much everyone but Rooney and Owen.

United are missing quite a few players. No Rooney, Park, Carrick, Ferdinand, Vidic, Valencia and Evra. The majority of the summer tour squad are youngsters.

Lol. I think Man U's full roster wouldn't have any trouble beating any MLS team.

Their missing their best player and basically their entire defensive line of Vidic, Evra, and Ferdinand.

Take out KC's best player and their defensive line, then we'll see how well they play.

Regardless, KC is a MEDIOCRE mls team......I think that's what makes it more impressive

That team should be able to beat KC, especially a 10 man KC. Berbatov, Evans, Nani, Giggs, and Scholes are better than almost any player in the MLS. Scholes and Giggsy are a little older, but at this point are still better. Even Rapael is probably better despite his youth.

This. KC is 4-8-4 this year. Any win for them is a good win.

Agreed. At the very least, Man U should have tied this game.

I honestly can see the MLS All Stars winning scoring 4-5 goals and only giving up 1 because the some of the MLS All Stars want to use the game as proving ground that they can compete in Europe, and I'm sure a couple of them can (outside of the usual suspects).

I love ManU as much as anybody, but that was a terrible loss. It doesn't matter who they were missing.

If people are to believe that the MLS is still such a 2nd rate league, then the Premiere League teams should be able to beat them with their subs.

Let's face it, most of the subs on teams like ManU are better than most starting line ups in the MLS.

KC isn't even that good of a MLS team to begin with.

I could understand a loss to LA or Columbus, maybe even NY, but a loss to KC sucks ass.

So then what is your response to foreigners who root for the Celtics or Lakers becuase they've never heard of the Warriors or 76ers?

LOL OWNED.

I mean, if you're American it doesn't matter if you like ManU, Chelsea, Barca, etc... They're all foreign teams.

My response is they can get the D too.

It's the 21st century. I watch 80% of Aston Villa games on the Internet. We don't live in the 1960's, the days of front running fans hiding behind the "They were the only team on TV" excuse is over. Internet, Twitter, YouTube, games on ESPN, etc. etc.

Plus, if you're a Lakers/Celts fan, and you've never heard of the 76ers/Warriors, then how much of a fan are you to begin with?

Like I said, anybody that chooses to root for Chelsea, ManU, Liverpool, Arsenal, Barca, Real, etc. etc. etc. can catch the D fade because they arbitrarily chose a front runner and they can burn in the depths of hell for that.

That's funny coming from a guy that lives in Cincinnati, probably the biggest joke of a metropolis in not only Ohio, but America. Aren't you guys due for another race riot?

Hey! I root for Barcelona and have since 1991 when they lost to ManU in the ECC (Champions League). THIS WAS the only game on TV and WAS before the internet. Not to mention, I went to Spain in 1995, and while I barely remember it...being all of 9 years old, I did get to tour the Nou Camp (Estadi del FC Barcelona at the time of my visit).

I got to meet Eusebio, Txiki Bergestren (was a player at the time, and just resigned as the director of operations), Michael Laudrup, Ronald Koeman and from a distance Johan Cruyff. Then when Barca came to Chicago a few years ago I went to have dinner at the W Hotel where they were staying. In walks Guardiola, Bojan, Henry, Puyol, Dani Alves, Pedro, Victor Valdes, Eto'o, and Keita.

So you can call me a frontrunner if you want, I dont really care. I probably have more of a connection to Barca than most have to their foreign clubs (including you and Aston Villa).

Dude its the postseason and an elite EPL team, they could care less about these games outside of getting in pitch form and the younger guys trying to make some good impressions. Do you honestly think Giggs and Scholes gave a fuck about this game?

Meanwhile, MLS teams are already in midseason form and playing to win.
