There are only five (5) weeks left until the 2010 football season begins! As always, I'm ready to conduct the PAC-7 Pick'em Contest, and I need to get an idea of how many people we should expect. With there being three web sites to choose from now, it may be harder to get enough contestants to warrant having a pick'em on all three sites, or even two of them. I would like to get a head count of those planning on participating this Fall.
An option I've considered is having one pick'em contest but include contestants from all three web sites. This woul require a lot of coordination on my part, but I could do it! If someone has a different user name on another site, then he/she would simply have more than one entry in the pick'em. For instance, I have user names at all three sites - OhioChatter: thePITman, Yappi: thePITman, JJHuddle: RedStapler. Both thePITman user names would combine for one entry (only latest set of picks would count). I would have a 2nd entry under RedStapler.
But if we can get enough contestants on a single site alone, I will split it up. I'm thinking the magic number would be around 25 or 30.
Thank you!

I will get in. I use the same name on both this site and JJ, but you already know that.

Take Triway and Manchester to win every week and you'll do just fine.

Since I've now realized how utterly important the first 3 weeks are, I'll give it another shot. I doubt I could do any worse than last year.

So far we're up to 7 Yes votes on this site. JJ has 9 combined (2 threads), and Yappi has 16. These numbers aren't very good, so it looks like I'll be having one combined pick'em. Ugh.
