Who do you think it will be?

Nobody has really stepped up offensively. . . maybe John Clay with 1200 yds rushing and 13 tds?

Defensively, I would think it would go to a Buckeye. . . Cameron Heyward, Thad Gibson, or Kurt Coleman. Although, Greg Jones, Brandon Graham and Ryan Kerrigan had the most impressive stats.

Clay & Graham is my vote

If it goes to a Buckeye it should be Kurt Coleman.

Coleman or Heyward. The defensive player of the year should come from the best defense in the conference...not a last place team.

I like Coleman just because he made some big plays for OSU, 5 INT's (1 TD) and 3 FF from the SS spot. Also 3rd in the team in tackles while missing one game.

Ross Homan was big all year long, just didnt get the credit all of these others did.

Homan got alot of credit on defense, but Coleman passed him this week with the 2 INT's.

Heyward was the only player that stood out. All the LBs for Penn State were injured.

Not a knock on him at all. I watched every Buckeye game this year and he is a great player, he just didn't jump out. The two for me that did were Heyward and Rolle. Rolle more on potential because he is the most athletic LB at Ohio State I have ever seen. Heyward was simply unblockable for anyone in the conference. Similar to Odrick at Penn State, but Heyward is better right now.

Defense: Heyward over Coleman b/c Coleman was suspended.

I do not want to start an argument but look at the stats.

Pryor 1828 passing yards, 16 TD's, 707 rushing yards, 7 TD's
Tebow 1945 passing yards, 14 TD's, 706 rushing yards, 11 TD's

Tebow also has 30 more carries than Pryor, which would equal 150-175 yards more for Pryor.

It wouldn't be completely out of the question for Pryor to win the OPOY. 2,535 total yards and 23 TD's. The thing that I dislike is the INT's at 10 but the last 5 games have only had two TO's for Pryor.

How are Kafka's numbers from Northwestern? I haven't the slightest inkling to look them up, but very quietly N'western has had a very good year, and he looked great on Saturday. I feel like people overlook them a lot. Are his numbers worthy?

Kafka's numbers were good, but I think the best quarterback in the Big 10 was Elliot. He did lay an egg against Minnesota though.

I think Clark is very mediocre...he proved that in the Buckeye game.

Offensive Player of the Year: Daryll Clark, Penn State - Clark sealed up the award that nobody seemed to want to win with his four-touchdown, zero-pick performance against Michigan State in the finale. Clark was great when he was on and pretty awful when he wasn't. At the end of the day, though, the senior set a school record with his 23 TD passes this season.
Runner-up: John Clay, Wisconsin

Defensive Player of the Year: Brandon Graham, Michigan - It's tough to single out a player from one of the conference's worst units, but Graham was that good and that dominant. The defensive end was the focal point of every opponent's scheme and still he totaled 63 tackles, 25 tackles for loss, 9.5 sacks and forced a pair of fumbles.
Runner-up: Tyler Sash, Iowa

Freshman of the Year: Adam Robinson, Iowa - He missed a couple games, sure, but Robinson still rushed for 775 yards and five scores, in addition to grabbing 10 passes for 80 yards, in a relief role for starter Jewel Hampton.
Runner-up: Tate Forcier, Michigan

Coach of the Year: Kirk Ferentz, Iowa - To be honest, the Hawkeyes had no business being 10-2 and in the discussion for a BCS berth -- not after what they lost last season and with all the injuries this season, including ones to starting running back Jewel Hampton and quarterback Ricky Stanzi.
Runner-up: Pat Fitzgerald, Northwestern
