That's the most offensively gifted big man in the league, another 7 footer with great athleticism, a 6'10" who can play 3 positions and one of the best defenders in the league.

Can't possibly fathom how someone could say Kobe's a more talented player. Maybe when he could still play above the rim, but not anymore.

Kobe is a better shooter, a better leader, a better clutch player but seriously how can you say someone who shot 40% from the field and 32% from 3 over the course of a 7 game series is the best player in the league.

Note: I would take Kobe over Lebron on my team for 1 game strictly because of his assassin mentality, but Lebron is definitely the more talented player.

Thats a bunch of garbage. What did Gasol,Bynum,Odom and Artest do BEFORE they hooked up with Kobe?????

2 Mvp's? big deal. Karl Malone has 2 and so does Steve Nash. What do they have to show for it?????

I would take Kobe in the Playoffs (the only season that matters) 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 30 days a month over Lebron.

i've always said that I thought kobe was the better player. lebron has more potential, but kobe's the best right now, IMO.

But yet you think the best player is someone who blatantly quit on their team?

I'd take Lebron 24/7. That's 24 hours a week, 7 weeks a year.

What?

First off, Bynum was in HS and before those guys arrived Kobe wanted a trade.

Secondly, are you saying that Nash and Malone are nobodies because they don't have titles? Yet, Lebron is trying to put himself in a position to win a title and he's a quitter?

LeBron is considered a quitter by us Cleveland fans, because of statements that he made, like the following:

April 4, 2010
"I got a goal, and it's a huge goal, and that's to bring an NBA championship here to Cleveland," James said. "And I won't stop until I get it."

I still think LeBron is the best basketball player in the NBA. I no longer believe he is the best winner in the NBA.

He probably believed Cleveland might do something to help him accomplish his goal. LeBron may have quit, but the rest of Cleveland never started. Which is worse?

Did he say he'd do it as a Cavalier? Perhaps he'll win one with Miami and bring it back to Cleveland.

How else would he bring a title to Cleveland?

I think we can retitle this thread as: Which breast is better, Marisa Miller's right breast or her left one? Either way you don't lose but it fun to argue the point.

well i guess that we have seen the regular season doesn't mean shit compared to the finals so 2 finals mvp >>>>>>>> 2 regular season mvps

gasol is a pretty good player, bynum is good but at any moment he could tear a knee ligament or break his leg, odom is the most inconsistent player in the league, artest was a great defender he is just above average now

Lebron is way more talented then kobe and has a lot more athleticism then kobe ever had, but having more talent and being more athletic doesn't always make you the better player

even the best players can have a bad series like lebron who shot 35% in the finals against the spurs

people can say lebron makes all his teammates better but last time i checked pau gasol had never won a playoff game until he played with the lakers so i guess lebron makes his teammates better while kobe leads his team to titles

If you took all the players from the Cavs and Lakers last season and ranked them in order, LA would have 5 of the top 6, with Lebron being the lone Cavs representative.

The discussion is close between Lebron and Kobe, but we can't act like the Lakers didn't have far more talent last season.
