In Europe he averaged 15.2 pts, 4 rebounds and 1 assist in the 2009-10 year. (in Euroleague play, what is better that or the Greek league?)
I guess the deal would be a S/T Shaq and Mo for Marvin Williams and Childress. This would probably be contingent on the team getting a young PG from elsewhere (Acie Law maybe?). Looking at Marvin Williams v. LeBron they are about comparable sizes. LBJ avg 50% from the field to Marvin's 45%. LBJ shot 33% from the field and Marvin 30% last year. Not saying that Williams is anywhere near the player LBJ is but maybe he just needs a change of scenery to be the player that the Hawks thought he would be when they drafted him so high.

Someone will have to get selfish. Every player will have a new role. It won't be good enough for Varejao to just hustle anymore, as he will have to contribute in some way offensively for this team to succeed (make the playoffs). Although I don't think Marvin Williams is great by any means, I think he is a young player that you could take a chance on to see if he can develop.lhslep134;421143 wrote:Agreed. I want to see what Marvin can do in a starting role without selfish players around him (Joe Johnson, Josh Smith).
Although, I betcha that Mo gets pretty selfish this upcoming season.

I know I'm known as a hater, but I wonder that too. You don't hear these same things from Utah, Chicago, New York, New Jersey, etc... All of those teams were waiting for a big free agent. It's the nature of the beast, you offer someone and have to wait for them to decide. Lebron expedited this process as much as he could with having the teams come to him. ESPN had said they wanted to postpone "The Decision" until after the ESPY's, so at least he was intent on getting the process over with. The big names are gone, but Cleveland wasn't going to land any of them anyways, so they can now go forward pursuing other free agents.enigmaax;421277 wrote:My question on this - how exactly did LeBron handicap them?
