On the RCF, they are saying that Lebron will have to take a pay cut to make it happen.

At the same time, this isn't just about Cleveland, as much as we all like to think it is around here.
Is the variety hour overkill? Absolutely. But the fact is the market is there for it and there are 3-4 major markets that will have every eye glued to it as well as a huge chunk of the rest of the country.
There's no good way to do it.
If he keeps too quiet he gets grilled like the Colts did when they left Baltimore.
If he had just told Cleveland fans what they wanted to hear, and then left he's another Art Modell
If he does it in a non-transparent way he's viewed as vain and is called out for turning the knife in front of the whole nation.

ESPN said if Wade and Bosh both take $16.6M then Lebron would have a contract of $13.5M or $13 something. However if they move Beasley then they all get $16.6M. Or they all take less than max...

It would be one thing if it were Boston or LA where they have won championships but this city has been starving for a championship since 1964. There are better ways to handle it than this.
So the only reason that you have a problem with the 1 hour special is because Cleveland fans are emotionally unstable?

Until something actually happens Grant is still in bed as far as I am concerned. I don't care that people are saying it won't effect his decision. You HAVE to try.

Screw you, asshole. It would be the same with any franchise who has been starved for a championship for this long. It's just bush league and I honestly think that he doesn't think there's anything wrong with it.

It's not just Cleveland.
A lot of rust belt or just down areas are the ones that have the most rabid, sometimes delusional followings. There's not much else to get excited about, so it all gets hung on sports. Pittsburgh is the same way.

Yeah, but I am talking about bringing in Mike Miller as well.

I agree but unless Lebron is pulling the ultimate poker face with Miami, this is a done deal. The Mike Miller contract offer pretty much sealed the deal for me.

That is why I was asking if there is a certain point in salary where a team gets a MLE or if it is the offseason after they play over the cap. I guess to have Miller then they all have to accommodate his salary as well if the MLE isn't in the picture.

I am not good with this salary cap stuff, but the RCF people are saying that Miami still has their BAE(Bi annual exception) and they could pay a little over 4 mil a year to someone. That still doesn't fit Millers contract offer, so I am assuming that the big three are taking paycuts if it happens.

Gotcha, I tried to go read RCF for clarification but I don't have a username over there and guest viewing has been closed off. Probably damage control for people looking to troll

Just because you're pissed Lebron is leaving doesn't give you a reason to be a asshole
