HTC Hero.

Will be upgrading in December... Probably to the EVO or Samsung Epic 4G.. Or whatever else is out there by then that looks nice.

The Hero has been an awesome phone though. Love the Android OS..

I've had it all. I'd like to have an iPhone, but can't justify paying that much for it. Like I said...I love BBM....my primary reason for sticking with BB.

I can almost guarantee that you will not get the EVO. By that time, there will be something that is much better. It is crazy how quick all of these companies are pushing out better and better phones. It sucks that with Verizon I can only upgrade every year in a half.

No doubt. Phones are coming out quicker than hookers storming out of a brothel towards a guy holding a roll of singles in his hand.

Seriously though, I love that I can get an upgrade every 10 months from Sprint. Keeps me updated :)

I only update if I really feel need to though, or the phone s just that much better. I went from the Instinct (worst phone I've ever had) to the Blackberry Curve, to the htc Hero...

Blackberry's are cool I guess, I mean the emailing and messaging capabilities are very nice, but the OS is glitchy and outdated.

I really like where the Android OS is headed though.. Swype is probably the best way to text, at least for me.. Apps, flash, etc..

I have the Env2 which I've had for 4 years. After much research and hands-on testing, I'll probably be getting a Droid Incredible in the next month or two.

I use a Blackberry 8820. My employer pays for it (phone and internet/e-mail). It works well enough for me--I don't really text, and primarily use it for e-mail. I like the actual keyboard, which I find much easier to use than the screen-only keyboard on the iPhone. For me, I'd rather use something that's free and works, than pay upwards of $500-1,000 extra over 2 years for something that's slightly better. I guess I'm just cheap.

Have you gotten used to the typing? I like phones with buttons for keyboards instead of touch screens... But have you gotten used to it? Is it just a matter of getting used to touching the letters, or is it still annoying for you? I'm debating between a non-data phone and the Droid Incredible. I love everything on the phone except that I keep mis-typing and need to backspace.

i have an iphone 3g.

probably gonna get an iphone 4 next spring, or wait and see what kind of deals verizon/sprint will have on iphones. love the phone, hate the network.

FWIW, i have a friend with the droid, and another friend with the incredible and I like my iphone more. not that either of those 2 are bad phones, i just like mine more. Though i admit the incredible is a nice phone, it'd be my 2nd choice from the smartphones i've played around with.

I hated it at first, but after I downloaded Swype....it is very easy to use.

Never liked using my blackberry for emails. I actually did get a little better with the soft keyboard on the Droid (thought I would use the physical keyboard a lot more)....But once I got Swype it was a whole different game. And pretty soon it will all just be speech-to-text, any way.

There is a rumored phone or two coming out late in the year that is rumored to be a monster. Add-in that VZW starts rolling out their LTE network at year-end and to me it's a no-brainer.

I suppose the IPhone is better out of the box for most, and overall has better apps (for now). But I really think the capability of the android phones out there is superior already, and the ones coming out later in the year will blow it away. Plus, the Google's Gingerbread release (Android 3.0?) is supposed to focus a lot more on the UI
