I'm not sure what some of the teams have coming back but i like..........
Big Red (just because), Dover (Should be good again), Marlington (Two stud running backs with huge line), Sheridan (not sure), Licking Valley (usually in the mix), Northwest (Vic finds a way every year), Salem (build off of last season) These teams to battle for the 8th spot - Minerva (getting better), Carrollton (Nice skill coming back, line is a ?), Indian Creek (could be break out year)
Big Red is the team until someone can knock them off in this region.

Northwest's QB is looking great in Summer Camps/Workouts...looks to be another year in the playoffs!

This could be one of the toughest regions in Ohio football this year.

I think Maysville may take a step forward this season.

I think Salem and Marlington are going to be forces to reckon with.

This was always a good game when they played non-conference... if both teams stay good into 2011 this could make for a solid NBC tilt once Salem moves over to there.snyds113;407059 wrote:I think Salem and Marlington are going to be forces to reckon with.

No question about it, they'll be pretty good. I don't think they'll be a serious regional contender though.ferflog;407026 wrote:I think Maysville may take a step forward this season.

I'll be following Harrison Central and just how coach Kropka has their team moving towards another playoff run. The big games will be Ferry, Buckeye Local, IC and St C.

After spending a few seasons in Region 13 a couple of years ago, I feel much more 'at home' in Region 11. I've always liked the public school flavor of this region and we've developed some nice rivalries over the years (moist notably with Northwest and Dover).
Licking Valley had a rare rebuilding year last season (5-5). I'm expecting them to be back in the mix at the top in 2010.

Growing up in Cadiz till tge sge of 10 I had always been a fan of the Cardinals.I think also Jewett-scio had the great unis. Cafiz fans or I should say HC fans out there love their football. It us thr mixture needed for a playoff run.So yes I too will agree with WARad on HC making a run.Now we all know and don't need to hear about if and who meets up with the RED will get handed their hat.I still would love to see HC and the RED meet up @DEATH VALLEY.It would be an exciting game to watch.Ithink HC would hang for a bit longer than most might think.adrenalin does wonders.

Steubenville (9-1) Always a playoff team, can the defense push them to a title?
Dover (9-1) Another playoff team year after year. Can they get past Steubenville?
Buckeye Local (8-2) Lost a LOT of players as well as their head coach. Could spell trouble the next few years.
Granville (9-1) Had a great year last year, looking to make another appearance in 2010
Salem (8-2) Didn't loose much. Should get better. Could be a surprise knock out to an unexpecting team.
Canal Fulton (7-3) With the school issues aside, they will get back on track. Should have another good season.
Harrison Central (8-2) Sleeper? Came on tough last year, can they do it again? They go as far as their line will take them.
Marlington (8-2) Solid team. Was young last year and has a lot of talent coming back.
Indian Creek (6-4) New attitude and hungry for a playoff spot. Must win the big games.
Thornville Sheridan (8-2) Very weak schedule hurt them. Didn't win the ones they needed to.
Minerva (7-3) Another weak schedule. Only beat one team over .500
Licking Heights (8-2) Very weak schedule. No wins to anyone over .500
Carrollton (6-4) Up and down. Lost to teams they should have beat and won against teams they should have lost to.
Licking Valley (5-5) Rebuild... Odd to see them at 5-5.
Maysville (6-4) Young team... Should get better.
Canton South (3-7) Plays a VERY tough schedule. More wins needed.
Cambridge (5-5) Should be pretty good this year, talent is there.
New Lexington (4-6) Back to the drawing board. Wishing it was still 2008.
West Holmes (2-8) Haven't been over .500 since 2006.
East Liverpool (4-6) Getting better, but not there yet.
Philo (3-7) The electrics have been electrocuted...
Edison (3-7) New coach needed.
Claymont (2-8) Outlook not so good.
John Glen (2-8) Will they turn it around this year?
River View (1-9) Stays near the bottom
Alliance (1-9) .500 or slightly better.
Fairless (1-9) Plays a pretty tough schedule to get above .500.
Beaver Local (1-9) Things aren't looking any better for Beaver. Leave the Conference.
Lakewood (0-10) Tough Schedule... Tough year.
Morgan (0-10) Usually a lock on this spot.
Dover (9-1) Another playoff team year after year. Can they get past Steubenville?

I like "Licking Valley" and "Beaver Local", but it really doesn't have to do with football...

I can't see Granville making another appearance. I see them in the 6-4/7-3 range. I hope I am wrong. Licking Valley will have a lot of work to do as well. They might be able to squeeze into the race, but I am skeptical of having any MSL Ohio representatives in the playoffs for region 11.

Totally agree, Granville lost way too much talent and lost one of their underclassmen runningbacks who died in a car accident earlier this year I see Valley with the same record this year as they had last year.

I hope Carrollton does make the playoffs along with Indian Creek. I would like to see those two teams match up in Rd. 1 so make sure your Warriors get the #7 seed

This years team honestly has the talent to get that seed. It all depends how hard they work for it and how much they want it. They have the talent to go 10-0 this year... Time will tell.

J/K Good luck.

I hope things work out for you this year. Would be nice to see some other faces in the top five. As long as Dover is still up there, and Carrollton breaks through and makes it to week 11; I'm game for anything.

I know I am making a bold prediction, but I am also not looking past Weir. Like I said, the talent and ability is there, they just have to realize it. This year's IC team has potential to make some history at IC. I am hearing good things from practice, I just hope the kids stay healthy this year...
