I don't know much about them, but don't forget to throw Thornville Sheridan (5-0) into the Region 11 playoff mix. So far they have put up big numbers (have scored over 40 in every game) and pitched 3 shut outs through week 5 allowing only 19 points so far this year. Does anybody know anything about them? I know that they have a strong football tradition, but that's all I know about them. Looking at their schedule, it seems that they could have a chance to run the table and end up second or third in the region.

Sheridan is good this year. Very good. Their Achilles heel, if they have one, is depth. I think they only have 35 or so kids on the roster.

Their opponents have a combined record of 6-14. I'm not saying they're not good, but lets see how they do against a Div. III playoff caliber type team.

I read an older article about them. Through week 3, two of their backs plus the QB are averaging over 10 yards per carry utilizing the triple option.

Week 8 will be the test against Tri-Valley. That being said, Marlington has been pounding their share of cupcakes and are still getting play. ;)

Is there a site you can go to see the rankings? Also, when do they come out?

We Creek fans can hope all we want, but winning one of the next two would be HUGE. If we are betting on week ten, than Im concerned. Im sure the coaching staff is well aware of this. We had a great game against buckeye, but show time is NOW.

WTOV9 has their calculated rankings. I don't know how accurate they are.

How does Creek win and drop 3 places?

I did some very quick calculations, and figure if Dover wins out, they will finish with an average around 19.7 to 20.7. That would be good enough the last 3 years to put them anywhere from 4th to 6th. With that said, they will need to continue to improve on the defensive side of the ball, and let their offense mature in order to be a threat to win a game or 2 in the playoffs this year.

I think "mature" is the key word for Dover this year. We have a few kids who lack the maturity on the field to instinctively do the right thing(or not do the wrong thing) when the situation arises.
These kinds of mistakes have been costly in both wins and loses this year.
Some great talent has been undermined by fundamental mistakes.

Paper came out Dover lost . I see they have won so they are in . Steub,Sheridan,Marlington,Liverpool ,Edison,Licking Valley, with Dover are in .....last two spots are with Salem, Minerva , Indian Creek, and Carrollton.. Granville should fall out ..Carrollton need upset . Salem needs to beat Liverpool . IC should slip in and if they beat St C they will be in

They beat a winless team and the only team to give them 2nd level points was John Hay.

Why does everyone on here think all these teams will make it ahead of Minerva? why do they drop all the way to maybe the last two spots? right now they are second in the region and you guys are all saying like Licking Valley, IC, Dover, and Edison will all get ahead of them and right now they are like 12, 11, 10 and 8 in the region? where is Minerva gonna lose that many points? i see them finish in the top 4 in the region way ahead of Licking Valley, IC and Edison and Sheridan

Marlington, Canal Fulton, Carrollton, and Louisville raise question...

Hey, congratulations to the Indian Creek Band. They will perform before the Steeler-Raven game this Sunday. I think they will also perform at the tailgating parties before the game. Great band.
