How long has the coach been there seems like they have upped the anty these past couple of years .
Yes, last year was Salem's first trip to the playoffs. This is Coach Kopachy's 2nd year at Salem.

Salem 21
West Branch 18

Very close game throughout; 14-12 Salem at halftme. WB went on top 18-14 in the second half on a interception return (about 80 yards) for a touchdown. Salem got a touchdown with about five minutes to play. WB was driving and in Salem territory when Salem picked off a pass with about 1:40 to play and ran out the clock. WB played well and is very disciplined on defense; they will definitely win more games. Salem continues to play tentative and seems to be searching for an identity. Salem's pass defense finaly came through and tightened up against WB during their last drive. Both teams played relatively mistake free except for the two big interceptions (credit the defenses) and a grounding call that halted a WB drive. WB-Carrollton should be a good game, Salem needs to pick it up big time if they hope to beat Hubbard at Hubbard

I'll have to catch one of their games this year. Do you think they can beat Louisville and sweep the NBC?

Yes I do think they can. Carrollton goes up there in two weeks so I will get to see them first hand.

Poland wasn't as good as they were hyped to be. Don't crown the Dukes as kings yet. Louisville is the big dog (or cat) until proven otherwise.

Week4: Salem @ Hubbard. Hubbard dominated Salem last year 42-0. Does Salem have what it takes to stay with Hubbard this year? Computer points, a home playoff game and a AAC Tier title are possibly on the line making it an very important mid-season game for both. Whoever loses may have to run the table to make the playoffs. Those who are participating in the Vindicator picks are currently favoring Hubbard. Can Salem stop the speed of Hubbard?

The Quakers must bring their A game for 48 minutes to win. We have won 8 straight regular season road games, so we know how to win away from home, but Hubbard defends their home turf very well. Could be a great one.

Go Quakers!!

If they want to win the region, they will have to go through Steubenville. I'm looking forward to that game. It should be one of the best games of the year.

If Salem's pass defense doesn't improve this week, the speed of Hubbard won't even matter because they'll just throw it over the wide open middle all game long and tear us apart.

Would love to see big red pick up someone from Region 11 on the schedule. The stadium would be packed with the licks of a Marlington, Dover or Sheridan on the schedule. But I don't see where it would help us other then attendance though.

Good luck to all the region 11 teams this week.

It's breath of fresh air not seeing many Big Red posts this week. Reno must have lowered the boom on the posters. Maybe it will continue? We can only hope.

Reno lowered the boom on us posters last week but it didn't stop us. There just must not be as much to talk about this week.

Things will pick up again next week when we have Rally in Death Valley.

Not much to talk about since Brooke and all the haters got shut up temporarily. I'm sure they will be back out in full force if we have a close game or lose.

Not much to talk about??? Big Red posters talk about football in January and February. There's posts all week long during the season if Big Red wins by 3 or 30. Maybe you all have got together and are putting the big freeze against Ohio Chatter. I'm not sure why but I like it.
