By the way, Travis Wood will start tomorrow against Chicago, his major league debut. I am pumped for this guy.
Also, Chapman gave up 4 runs in 1 2/3 innings of work yesterday. He hit 100 nine times, and topped out at 103 according to John Fay.

I can't wait 'til Chapman gets some control.
This lineup may be the best Reds lineup possible. They will definitely need it against Roy today, that's for sure.

Pretty big of Rolen to take the start against Halladay instead of Cairo. They mentioned it last night on the TV. Goes to show that this team seems to enjoy one another and the do things the right way.

In addition to Chapman, Volquez threw 90 pitches and struck out seven through six innings for AAA Louisville.

Can't believe Walt didn't start Wood today against the LH heavy phils and Harang tomorrow against the RH heavy cubs.
Game is on MLB network again btw.

Harang once again throwing too many pitches, but nice job getting out of trouble in the 1st.

Thank god for MLB Network.
Also, I dont watch the Reds a lot, but Harang seems to get ahead in the count and then throw pitches that no one is gonna swing at to brng up his pitch count. Why doesnt he spot the fastball just off the plate and let them put it in play harmlessly. I think he had three 3-2 counts in the first.

Did they officially call Wood up,instead of just saying they are going to pitch him Thursday? And if so, who did they send down?

They will make the move after today's game so that they have an extra pitcher in the bullpen. Bray was called up, so most likely him or DRH would be sent down since you don't really need 3 lefties in the pen unless they are all really good. I guess they could send Smith down but he's been too good IMO.

DRH has to go. The guy offers nothing if his control isn't amazing and he can't get lefties out.

He made Ryan Howard look silly last night, as he has in the past. They might keep him around just because they face the Phils 4 times next week. I agree though, he should be the one to go assuming Bray is ok. It's hard to judge him on one inning.

Looks like Wood will get the call tomorrow. Interesting. A day game at Wrigley, quite the setting for a debut.

Anyone get an official pitch count for Harang in the 1st inning....one of the betting props but espn didn't have the # of pitches...I know he had 37 after 2 innings but threw more pitches in the 1st with the first two guys getting hits and he ended up facing 5 batters.

Sardinha was the Louisville Bats starting catcher for 18 years. He's awful. This game is over. Pathetic for him to homer. I'm usually a Harang supporter, but that is AWFUL.

I found a pitch by pitch on espn and Harang threw 27 pitches in the 1st inning.
I finally won a prop.
How about the Reds pitchers quit taking batters off versus the lowly Philly catchers ....god's sake Schnieder had 7 hits and 8 rbi last night and he is replaced by his backup Dale Gehrig and he knocks in 3 runs.

I can handle Halladay beating Harang. That's expected. But if Harang has a great game except for that 4th inning, it's horrible. Dane Sardinha...just awful. A guy who the Reds didn't even want. I'd rather Howard, Werth and Rollins hit 3 HR's each and the Reds lose 20-0 than see Sardinha be the difference.
