Ouch. Okay, when I looked Friday morning (the start of the series) they were a 1/2 game back.

So....I thought I was off the hook for "not getting set on fire."

I lost the bet...I didn't come through on the payment...name your terms to rectify....

In addition, if he wanted to get technical and say "I meant as of midnight on the 26th, before those games were played", the Reds actually took the lead after the games were played on the 25th. The Reds won and the Cardinals lost to take the lead Friday night. :p

But yes, the Reds were 1/2 back to begin that series, and 1/2 up by the 26th.

I could have told you all he wouldn't pony up. Even if they had a 10 game lead in the division, he would have said, "Well I looked last year, and they were a half game back. Oops."
