Because I just checked and I did indeed bet 500 on the US.

It was set to boost your total to 10 if you had less than that amount and a new event was posted. I removed that setting so you just get an extra 10 to play with. Lucky.

So will the points replenish after a certain amount of time once you go broke? Something along the line of there being a winner declared like monthly or so, and everyone reset to 500?

Yeah, once a winner is declared (whenever that may occur) everyone will be reset to 500.

If, as a mod, I can make betting threads, I'll give you all easy money occasionally: I'll put up bets concerning my Pirates against...well, anyone. Just hit up the opponent every fucking night and recoup your losses from your bets you misfired on.
