Tiger is a BOSS! Phil is pissing down his leg... Hopefully the leaders come back a little so Tiger is in the final group!

So far McDowell and Johnson doing well under the pressure, but we'll see about tomorrow, totally different animal.

That was one of the best 9 holes Tiger has ever played......next best score was a 35.....he shoots a 31?

That was Tiger. WOW

I thought for sure that Johnson and McDowell would end up at around -3. McDowell did, but Johnson was just unbelievable. It's going to take an amazing round from Tiger tomorrow to catch Johnson, but you never know what will happen on Sunday at a major. It's nice to see Tiger starting to look like Tiger again.

Someone should tell Dustin Johnson this is Pebble Beach and not the local pitch and putt he is making it. He has won the last 2 AT&T's held there, and is now 3 clear of the field after just having fired a 66.

Typically guys who haven't won a major shit themselves down the stretch when they are in position for the first time, but Johnson just owns Pebble right now and unless someone like Tiger shoots 64 tomorrow I don't see anyone else wins the tournament because he is so locked in there. Driver, 6 iron into 18 was absurd as he is just so long.

Oh trust me, if the wind is up tomorrow, Johnson may struggle, and if the pin on #14 is anywhere near where it was on Friday, he'll throw some shots back to the field late

not at 9:30 pm

Johnson went on to match him.....both were off the chart

Johnson seems to own this course....and with his length he might run away Tigeresque in 2000......I want to see Tiger put another major run on tomorrow to make it extra exciting. I want the best golfer to win.....right now it's certainly Johnson....but we'll see how he handles the immense pressure

Tiger has never won a Major coming from behind. If I were a betting man I would bet on Johnson.

I'd say Johnson will win it too. He has looked very solid throughout the tournament, but Ironman92 could be right. It's hard to tell how Johnson will react to the Sunday pressure at the U.S. Open, especially if Tiger plays well early. Tiger will have to apply the pressure early on the front nine and never let up to have a chance. A five shot lead is gonna be tough to overcome on a course that difficult unless Johnson helps him out by playing poorly.

It's golf.....it doesn't take much for the tables to turn....Johnson shoots par....he wins IMO.....and he may anyways

but anyone who has golfed much at all knows how little it takes to just lose it.....edge of fairway can easily be barely in the rough with a bad lie........perfect shot to the green is so marginal from a shot that just can't stay on the green and handcuffs you for another shot...and of course the 4-5 foot putts....miss your first one and see how it goes.

This Open is set completely up for the great player Johnson.....but there is a reason he has never won a major....just like there is a reason Tiger has never come from behind to win a major.

Tiger's back 9 was pretty damn impressive. He beat the field average by 8 strokes. The first 7 holes are really the only good scoring holes. Early in the broadcast today they said the entire field was a collective +150ish in relation to par on the front 7 compared to almost +1300 over the final 11 holes.

I think the stat about Tiger never coming from behind to win a major is a little overexaggerated. The fact is when Tiger is playing well in a major, he's usually leading it. When he's off, he's off enough to usually be in the Top 20, but without a legitimate shot to come from behind because he's too far back. It's not like he has blown several chances to win a major coming from just a shot or two off the lead going into Sunday. That said, there's a first time for everything. Maybe tomorrow is the day that Tiger actually does make a charge from a few shots back.

Johnson is now officially urinating down his leg.

If Phil could putt at all he would be leading this tournament. He hit a 393 yard drive on 2, and then drives the 325 yard par 4 with a 3 wood and doesn't birdie either hole.

Tiger isn't swinging well early. Bogied 1, miracle par on 3, and a bad drive on 4.

Can't believe Johnson has collapsed in this fashion. I knew it would be tough for him to handle the pressue today, but he has been solid all week. I never dreamed he would be so awful.

McDowell, Ernie, and Havret are solid right now. All three players look to be in great position.

Phil still has a shot but he needs to get something goin now.

As good as Tiger was on the back nine yesterday, he's the exact opposite today. I really thought he would play well today, but he looks lost again. Maybe he'll get it going on the back again, but it's not looking good...but as I type this, Tiger nails about a 30 footer on the 7th to get it back to +1.

^^ He is showing classic signs of inconsistency. Some great streaks, some awful. I think he is just getting back into the practice routine since Muirfield Village. I don't expect him to win, but he will finish top 5.

This is Mcdowell's tourney to lose obviously. Maybe Ernie can catch him. I would love that. I love Ernie's swing.

Yeah, Tiger is still VERY inconsistent. I just thought that he might be coming around after yesterday. I'd like to see Ernie win it as well, but he has put himself in a bad situation on the 10th. McDowell is looking better and better as this thing goes on.

This tournament is over. Phil, Ernie and Tiger are going to kick themselves because this tournament was there for the taking and no one could make a charge and sustain it.

McDowell has played solid, but when you can see the urine soaked trousers of your closest competitors because they have been pissing down their leg the whole day you don't really feel the kind of pressure you would had someone made a sustained charge. Havret doesn't scare him, and he is 4-5 shots clear of the field other than him. It's like getting a free pass when his palms should be sweating.

I hope so, because this is boring right now if he doesn't come back to the field.
