Perhaps, in your outrage over a non-serious issue such as this, you can understand why so many arab nations have aproblem with the U.S. being involved in that region of the world. The U.S. bombs away, then wants to re-build the nation. The U.S. government is directly involved in both actions, the bombing and the re-building. In this instance, the Saudi company was not involved in the destruction of the WTC, but will be involved in the reconstruction of it, I fail to see the problem or issue.

Take time to understand that the Hoover Dam (just doesn’t hold water) but has a lasting historical effect on America in the Great Depression of the 1930 and even now provides resources to neighboring states. The Hoover Dam is a Monument to hardworking America during difficult times. The dam holds water but holds a lot more to the 20,000 men and women working to build this American achievement. An the many additional jobs created at the time.

Will I stand before the WTC after it is built and say this is un-American …… I would feel a lot better to say this is the place that the Middle East hate destroyed and this is what America Built as a tribute to those free, innocent and brave America citizen that die on 9/11 and the structure of a Proud America Spirit to over come the attack on our soil built without Arab Royal Construction intervention.

Between many of you and myself we don’t share the same sentiments maybe those fathers, wife’s and children and other love ones effected by the meaningless deaths at the hands of Saudi Terrorist should be the making this decision of the bidders and the history of those bidding and the partnership link to Arab within their companies. Most people in the United States would work to turn in criminals. The areas where people don't work to get the criminals usually end of being some of the worst places to go.

I can't stand when people use this cop-out statement. How many times are people going to say that the good people in the middle east don't speak out to the terrorists? HAve you seen the movie "Brothers at War"? It is a great documentary and it gives you real insight to what is going on in Iraq.

Many Iraqis stand up and speak out against insurgents in Iraq. A minority in the Sunni Triangle do not in fear of their lives (in the movie it shows two murdered informants). It isn't as easy as turning people in in the United States. Protection in the middle east is not very good for informers.

As to these statements I do not know the marital status of your parents at the time of your birth, or if you are gainfully employed. I do not have enough information to judge whether several of the other labels are applicable, but you have denigrated American troops and expressed sympathy for the terrorist who kill them.

Let me get this straight. Pants explains in detail, quite succinctly I might add, why it is understood and justified why middle eastern people are killing American soldiers in Iraq. Somehow that equates to offering sympathy? Is that what you're saying?

If I was an Iraqi citizen that had my country overrun through force, directly causing 2 million of my brethren into permanent exile as nomads, seen somewhere between 150K to over 1 million of my countrymen killed, had my standard of living turn to absolute shit, and presently and continuously being occupied by war invaders, for reasons that have been proven to be fabrications, I would actively try to kill every fuckin one of them. Isn't that what war is all about? The more you kill the better you are?

The invasion of Iraq by all definitions equates to terrorism. Just because big weapons are used in place of little ones, the definition remains the same.

I was trying to not answer isadore as last time I tried to refute him it turned into around 2 pages of me and him saying the same thing back and forth with nothing gained.

I usually get involved in these kind of discussions but it's been a fairly long day and sometimes it's not necessary to emphasize the obvious. There were several excellent posts regarding the WTC issue, and I agree strongly with the remarks of PTown and BoatShoes. There are a couple of others who also echo many of my sentiments regarding this issue.

Okay, let's hypothetically say that the United States invades Haiti tomorrow because we say their government is corrupt. Obviously with any war many civilians in the area the war is being fought will die and many people will be forced away from their homes and livelihoods. So in this scenario the Haitian people would deserve to die and rot in hell if they fought back against us?
