You have been brainwashed by Fox News, Belly. Compromise? I call it the American way. It's an open bid to the best suitable bidder. And so what if they have arab ties or are from the middle east? I am of middle eastern descent and served in the military, does my service become less "American" because of that? You are something. I can't believe some of the worthless drivel you post on here.Belly35;390358 wrote:To some of you concession and compromise is all you got ….. that is a sad state for America and the future for this country and yourself. What happen to the spirit, determination, the fight and the unseen value of American standards and honor? Is anything sacred anymore or just seen by the next generation as bricks, mortar and glass. Never looking beyond what those structures and the representation to the America public and the Nation and why. Replaceable and disposable along with the lives of those that where sacrificed to build such a monument to America. Be reminded of those lives lost on 9/11 and the mean to why build this structure. Is the Hoover Dam just hold water, Mount Rushmore just rock scrimshaw, Whitehouse Nights Inn to the Public Servant, Arlington Cemetery just a lot of grave stone, Empire State old building where King Cong fell from and the Twin Tower meaningless plot of ground now after nine years. Does the lowest bidder with ties to the Middle East even be qualified to bid?
There are something’s where concession and compromise has no place being considered and this is one of those situations.

Explain to me how this company ties in with the attackers on 9/11? Is it because of the country they are from? You have the same line of thinking as people who thought Japanese Internment camps were a good idea back during WW2. Condemn all for the act of a few?
Perhaps, in your outrage over a non-serious issue such as this, you can understand why so many arab nations have aproblem with the U.S. being involved in that region of the world. The U.S. bombs away, then wants to re-build the nation. The U.S. government is directly involved in both actions, the bombing and the re-building. In this instance, the Saudi company was not involved in the destruction of the WTC, but will be involved in the reconstruction of it, I fail to see the problem or issue.

Would you rather have the taxpayers own most of GM in a socialistic fashion, shunning free-market capitalism in the name of upholding an American institution, or would you rather adhere more closely to free-market principles and allow, say, BMW to obtain a majority interest in General Motors?
Excellent post, but I don't think certain posters will have the intellectual capacity to understand your point being made.
