Same college, different major, different job. And a few other things.

But it's never too late to make changes and I'm making a few.

Yes, I would change a few things if I could go back.

I would take some help from my parents going through college, and not be so headstrong about it (I think lol).
I would never have had the ring put on my finger. I think I'm just one of those people who are better people not being married.
I wouldn't work through some of the vacations; I might just have to enjoy one or two.
I would have went to England with my uncle Jack the first time he asked, when he was still around.
And, I should have taken that one chance when I was 28.

But, no matter. I'm fine right where I'm at in life. I've got a good family, great friends and my bf is gallant and understands me!

Would make some minor changes about certain situations (like that one night at the sorority house in Knoxville :) ), but by and large I wouldn't do things any differently. Happy with the college, career, and wife choices.

I wouldn't have gone to Ashland for my freshman year. That was a costly choice.

and he wonders why everyone is always "stalking" him...

he has an "intelligent" response for every thread.

if it doesn't interest his pretend 17-year old sensibility...it "sucks".....

this site would improve by 100% if I never saw this douche's name again.

Wouldve finished college but if everything goes right i will do that real soon. I would not have cheated on a great girl that made me a whole person. Wouldve not told my boss to go fuck himself years ago when i had a 45k year job and all i had to do was show up everyday. ohh well things happen for a reason atleast thats what i keep telling myself

I've thought about this a few times along the way but considering where I wanted to settle down and what my interests were, I don't think I would have been any happier than I am right now and there is always the possibility that I would have been worlds worse off than I am now. I am financially comfortable, barring any major health expense, I have the same wife I started with in 1966, I have four grown sons who are all doing for themselves and their families, they never get in any trouble, I have 9 terrific grand kids that I support whenever I can, as in tonight at 7:45 when I will be in the stands rooting for one of them in a baseball game...so, no, I'm fine where I am and feel very happy about most everything.

There are a lot of things I would like to change. But the biggest one is that I'm sorry I didn't come out of the closet when I was 18 instead of waiting until I was 30. I wasted the best years of my life being afraid of my own sexuality.

The period of 18 - 30 is hardly the best years of one's life.

However, the way I did things resulted in the three things that would cause me not to go back and change anything....their names are Peyton, Garrett and Aiden.

So while I wish I'd have done things differently, I wouldn't go back if I could and do it all over again.

BINGO. There are so many things I'd like to re-do, but all of them would have resulted in my son not being who he is. Therefore, the short answer is that while I've made many mistakes and showed poor judgement on many occasions, I wouldn't change a thing if it meant I wouldn't have him - exactly how he is.
