Which specs are you talking about?
Can't really compare processors to the others as they don't use the same one.
And it's not so much that it's higher resolution than everything else but that it's higher resolution on a smaller screen than the others. This will make it seem like that much better of a display.

I didn't like that they went with a 3.5 inch screen. I don't have an EVO, but I think it looks like the better phone.

It looked like they were about equal to me. And the screen size thing is really a matter of preference. What's the battery life on the EVO?

I imagine the battery life sucks on the EVO...since I know for a fact that it does on the Incredible. Also, I like the HDMI out and the nicer camera of the EVO, but the reviews are not very good for the HDMI out...from what I have read.

Higher resolution doesn't always equate to a nicer camera. But I've heard good things about the EVO's camera so it's probably at least as good and probably a bit better than the new iPhone's. Though I can't say until I try them both.
HDMI out is nice although I wouldn't have any use for it. I never connect my phone to a tv anyway.

Seen where during the 'unveiling'..they couldn't get the WiFi to connect..Jobs blurted out, "Anyone have any ideas on what to do now?" Someone in the crowd yelled, "Go to Verizon!" Lol

Haha. That's funny. It was nice to see something go awry at Apple for a change. Even though none of the tech people made a big deal about it. Guaranteed if it happened at a Microsoft/Android/WebOS device reveal sites like Engadget would have entire articles devoted to the slip up.

sprints service is definitely better indoors over att. when i was with att any phone i had(about 15 different phones) would always drop calls. never had a problem with sprint. better indoors reception by far. iphone 4 is just more fluff in a repackaged box.

Why do you need higher resolution on a 3.5in screen? That makes no sense. I saw pictures of the old and new iPhones side by side and they didn't look any different except the new one looked darker. Its definitely a cool technology but will only be put to good use once its rolled out to larger displays like computer monitors.

^ I will say just the opposite, Sprint was the worst ever experience I have had and ATT has been great for me! Just like the Mac v PC, Iphone (ATT) v Droid and (verizon, etc...) there are just as many people that feel the opposite of each other.

It'll look better. Even in the pictures taken of the displays you can tell the new one is better. You can see the pixels in the old display whereas you can't in the new one.Mooney44Cards;383549 wrote:Why do you need higher resolution on a 3.5in screen? That makes no sense. The Nokia flagship phones always have amazing cameras. The xenon flash would be sweet to have on a phone. LED flashes don't really do any good.

Does Nokia pretty much just sell "unlocked" phones anymore? You never hear much of them when you talk to cell dealers.

Nokia isn't all too popular in the US. They do sell more phones than any other company in the world though.
In Europe and Asia Nokia is very popular. The new version of Symbian (their smartphone OS looks pretty good too).
But yes, they do sell many of their phones unlocked. Which is nice.

How much data will that use, since it is no longer unlimited? Plus how much battery life will it eat.

I tried to mention that on the thread about the new plans. People don't realize the capabilities of these upcoming phones...and can VERY EASILY blast past the 2gb cap. The streaming video, the video calls...it all eats up data. I'm telling you...right now, people are making plans to switch to a smaller plan or save themselves $5 by going to the 2gb plan...but they are going to be pissed in the near future when their bills get jacked up!

Yeah, I think it will be real easy to go over your allotted data with these new phones.

I might have to get this phone. Been sitting on a basic flip phone for 4 years now waiting for Verizon to get the iPhone. I thought about getting a BlackBerry but those buttons are so tiny only a 14 y/o girl could easily press the right key.

Yes and no I think on the data... I'm a power data user and I get around 1.5-2 gb with my heavy mobile use. The regular person will struggle to use that much data unless they try hard.

You can change your plan when you get your new phone. So changing your data plan now won't have any affect when the iPhone 4 comes out.

One thing that I didn't think about is that most people will probably only use that Netflix or other data demanding apps on WIFI....at least I would think so.

Yes it will because you can never go back to an unlimited plan if you change it now. So if you change it now, and then decide to get the iPhone 4...you cannot have unlimited data with it.
