Mooney44 said he blows, which is what I was talking about.

Rhodes completes his mission of getting thru the top of the 8th with a one run deficit. Looks like he is fighting foot, groin, and hip issues.

Wilson blew a save yesterday and like Coco, got lucky and got a win despite allowing 2 runs in Pittsburgh.
I'd bet Mota stays in for at least a batter. We'll see.

Cue up the pinch hit HR from Heisey in the 9th.

Hernandez, Nix and Cabrera most likely. I hope it's Heisey because of his approach, but we will see.

Tough one to lose. Gonna be hard to beat Cain tomorrow.

Cordero is fine. He doesn't "blow"
I'd like to see Nix's batting average in 9th inning pinch hit situations. Never seems like he gets a hit. I wish the Reds would send Heisey down Matt LaPorta style. He needs everyday ABs and he can't start up here, so send him down since Dusty refuses to use him.

Trade Laynce Nix, move Heisey to the pinch hitter role, and call up the best lefty batter from Louisville.
Nix is good, and is worth something, but he was signed to platoon at LF with Gomes and is now expendable. Plus, he sucks at pinch hitting. Frankly he is actually good when he's in the lineup but that is rare. Rare enough that I won't miss him when he's gone, especially if we can get a halfway decent bullpen arm for him.

Trade Laynce Nix? Haha.
Best lefty from Louisville? That doesn't exist.
They have 2 capable OF's in Louisville and Nix is far better than both Balentien & Terrero.
Then again, it could be Chris Dickerson, and you really didn't think it could get worse than Nix could it? It can with Dickerson. Thank goodness he got hurt.

Having Nix on this team is pointless, other than to say we have a lefty off the bench.
He never plays.
He isn't a good pinch hitter.
Heisey is a better defensive replacement.
Nix is batting .120 at GABP......WHICH HAS A REALLY SHORT RIGHT FIELD FENCE.
We have to trade SOMEONE to get some arms in the completely awful bullpen. My vote goes to Nix, and if you disagree, you disagree. If we can't get anything for him, so be it. But stranger things have happened.
Either trade someone or start calling up your best pitchers from Louisville regardless of whether or not they are starters or relievers and see what they can do. Can't be much worse than our guys in there right now, who can't even throw strikes.
