Reds and Cardinals on ESPN tonight at 8:15. Lets not blow it on national TV!! This will be a very tough game for them to win though. Heart says they win 5-4 head says they lose 4-2.

It will be a tough matchup for LeCure going against Carpenter. I hope they make a good showing and steal a victory. My expectations are not high for them tonight.

LeCure looked good for his first MLB start. I only see him pitching 6 innings if the game is on the line. I don't know what has gotten into Scott Rolen but I hope that he keeps it up.

I would be shocked if they beat Carpenter in St. Louis tonight...if they do, I am going to Vegas and putting money on them winning the Central

Is there something wrong with Hanigan? Why is Corky Miller starting @ catcher?

They'll need better infield play tonight to win the game and impress the country! Phillips and Rolen did not make plays on balls that were very playable in the 6th when they gave up four runs to lose a 3 run lead for the 2nd time of the night. They were lucky to come back and win, and I was pleasantly surprised they held the Cards scoreless for the last 3 innings after they re-took the lead by a run. I don't see how Dusty can say it was their best game of the year.

What continuously pisses me off is that I have to listen to FSN when the game is on ESPN because the shit gets blacked out. Rarely do I get to listen to national guys evaluate the Reds. Thats what I get for being 3 miles away from GABP I guess.

I never have been able to ever watch the Reds on ESPN down here. Maybe you can with a better cable package, but right now I have ESPNews on ESPN.

Local markets wont put the games on ever because it "takes away" from the local broadcast station. Thus, if you regularly receive the game on the local station (in Toledo I get STO, FSD, and FSO) you wont get the teams on national TV (for me, its Indians, Tigers, Reds)

Fox Sports Ohio is such a joke. They are completely worthless most of the time. Granted they do give 100% full backing to the Reds, but a lot of the decisions they make confuse me when it comes to other sports.

Votto should have taken a ground ball dribbler for an RBI. Instead he takes a shot at a ball in the air thru the infield and ends the inning with no runs. Big missed opportunity to take the lead against a tough pitcher. I'll bet Cabrera would have got that run in from 3rd with a fly ball or ground out! When you bunt the runner over to 3rd with no out, you are playing for one run, and you should bat like it!

I take this back - the commentators were saying how all he had to do was hit a ground ball, but when you see the play on replay, the SS was playing in. They must have moved in with 2 strikes, which is a very smart play. It is critical strategy where the infield plays with a runner on 3rd and less than two outs, you'd think the commentators would mention what they are doing, even on TV because you can't see with the CF camera being the main shot! All the more reason to take the ground ball with less than two strikes - too bad the one strike dribbler by Votto went foul!

I've been impressed with LeCure so far. He hasn't had the best stuff but he is getting himself out of the jams that he gets himself into. Thats about all you can ask from a guy going against this lineup.

Gomes misjudged that ball, that went for a triple and an RBI, less than his defensive replacement last night misjudged the fly on the last out of the game. But Heisey had more time to recover.

Definitely an unfortunate mistake, but the way LeCure is pitching I'm still not ruling out a Reds W.
